Actor Chris Noth<\/a><\/strong> has insisted he\u2019s not guilty of sexual misconduct as he spoke out for the first time about the claims that hit pause on his career.<\/p>\n The Sex and the City<\/em> star, 68 \u2013 who says he\u2019s still close with his former castmates \u2013 told USA Today<\/a><\/em> that he had consensual encounters outside his marriage.<\/p>\n \u201cI strayed on my wife, and it\u2019s devastating to her and not a very pretty picture \u2026 what it isn\u2019t, is a crime,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Noth has been married to Tara Wilson<\/strong>, 38, since 2012. The pair dated for ten years before marrying and have two children, Orion, 15, and Keats, 3.<\/p>\n The actor admitted he\u2019d been unfaithful, saying: \u201cYou give yourself the same excuses that many men do; it\u2019s just a little side dance and it\u2019s fun.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re not hurting anybody. No one\u2019s going to know about this, you know, and sex is just enjoyable. And suddenly, a lot of people want to have sex with you. It\u2019s like, \u2018Well, I\u2019m not going to get this chance again.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n But it comes after four women told a different story about their encounters with him. In December 2021, weeks after Noth\u2019s character Mr Big died on SATC<\/em> spin-off And Just Like That<\/em>, two women came forward alleging sexual misconduct<\/a>.<\/p>\n One woman said Noth raped her in 2015 when she met him at the nightclub where she worked. The other told The Hollywood Reporter that Noth raped her in 2004.<\/p>\n His representative said the allegations were \u201ccategorically false\u201d \u2013 but a third woman then told The Daily Beast<\/em> that Noth had assaulted her when she was 18. A fourth woman also accused him of misconduct, but Noth denied all the allegations.<\/p>\n After the claims were made public, Noth was fired from the CBS drama The Equalizer<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n His And Just Like That<\/em> co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker<\/strong>, Cynthia Nixon<\/strong> and Kristin Davis<\/strong> shared a joint statement that read: \u201cWe support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences.
