Shanna Moakler<\/strong><\/a> revealed how becoming a mother negatively changed her sex life<\/a>, which led her to address her \u201cinverted nipple\u201d with plastic surgery.<\/p>\n \u201cI noticed after I had my second pregnancy. Everything was different before I had [son] Landon<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 that kind of changed things,\u201d Shanna, 48, \u200bconfessed in an interview published on Wednesday, August 2. \u201cThat\u2019s kind of poignant because I don\u2019t think a lot of women know or realize there are a lot of options that they can do for it. But for me, it\u2019s something I always wanted to do, it\u2019s not something you\u2019re really dealing with from day-to-day.\u201d<\/p>\n Shanna said she finally decided to address the issue with plastic surgery<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s a band-aid procedure, but it definitely affected my self-esteem, and [is] definitely something that I was insecure about,\u201d she explained. \u201cEspecially when you\u2019re intimate with your boyfriend.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cSo I was always insecure about it, and wanted to do something because it\u2019s in your face all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n The Rhode Island native \u201cput her trust\u201d into Dr. Justin Perez<\/strong> to perform the procedure 19 years after first noticing her changed nipple. \u201cI\u2019m really thrilled that I got to work with Dr. Perez for the sheer fact he was so open and honest about the entire procedure,\u201d she said. \u201cOne of the reasons why I went to him is because he does a more modern technique so when they [breast] still want to breast-feed they can still absolutely do that.\u201d<\/p>\n Shanna welcomed her first child, daughter Atiana<\/strong>, in 1999 with her then-fianc\u00e9, Oscar De La Hoya<\/strong>. After they split in 2000, she married Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker<\/strong><\/a> in 2004. The pair welcomed their first child, Landon, in 2003, followed by their daughter, Alabama<\/strong>, in 2005. The former Miss USA and musician, 47, later divorced in 2008.<\/p>\n Also during the interview, the former Celebrity Big Brother<\/em><\/a> contestant admitted that \u201cgetting older is not easy.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think as I age \u2014 and go into my 50s and 60s \u2014 I probably will do small things to maintain, but right now I\u2019m very comfortable with the procedures that I have done and where I\u2019m at,\u201d Shanna said. \u201cIt sounds clich\u00e9, but I believe age is just a number that\u2019s part of me. At my age now \u2026 I actually think I look more beautiful than when I was in my 20s, but everyone deals with that kind of differently.\u201d<\/p>\n Shanna\u2019s candid confession is not the first time she\u2019s discussed her decision to go under the knife<\/span><\/a>. She <\/span>underwnt <\/span>an epic makeover<\/span><\/a> in October 2018, which included a butt augmentation and tummy tuck.<\/p>\n \u201c6 months post op from my #mommymakeover with @leifrogersmd [and] I am so thankful and so happy with my results,\u201d Shanna wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of her in a bikini in April 2019. \u201cThis wasn\u2019t for weight loss! It was to fix my tummy muscles! I finally feel confident in a bikini again. It was a long healing process but I\u2019m really glad I did it! Thanks to all the other moms who sent me encouraging messages!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
