Kaitlyn Bristowe<\/strong><\/a> shared an emotional photo of herself after she and Jason Tartick<\/strong><\/a> confirmed their split<\/a> on Sunday, August 6.<\/p>\n \u201cSee you soon \u2764\ufe0f bye for now,\u201d Bristowe, 38, wrote via Instagram Story<\/a> alongside a red-nosed, makeup-free selfie, which appeared to have been taken after she cried.<\/p>\n In the following Story, the former Bachelorette<\/a> added, \u201cIf everyone can say some sort of prayer for both of our hearts we would love that. I just know social media can be awful so taking a little break.\u201d<\/p>\n Bristowe and Tartick, 34, started dating in January 2019 after he was a guest on her podcast, \u201cOff the Vine.\u201d Tartick proposed in May 2021, but the two struggled to set a wedding date.<\/p>\n \u201cJason and I are so funny. Like, if we talk about a venue \u2014 we actually have such different styles, different tastes, different everything that it\u2019s almost frustrating,\u201d the former Bachelorette exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> in August 2022. \u201cBecause I\u2019ll be like, \u2018I\u2019m in love with this venue and it\u2019s perfect and it\u2019s open.\u2019 And he\u2019ll be like, \u2018Oh, no, that\u2019s no. That\u2019s not the style we\u2019re going for at all.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Amid the wedding delays, the former couple sparked split speculation<\/a> in late July when Bristowe was seen without her engagement ring during a beach vacation. Days later, she posted a crying selfie, writing, \u201cJust know that the highlights are mostly posted about. You\u2019re not alone in your struggles.\u201d<\/p>\n Ultimately, the Bachelor Nation personalities announced on Sunday they had called off their romance<\/a> earlier this summer.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter sharing the news with family and close friends first, and taking the time to properly process it ourselves, we are saddened with heavy hearts to share that we have decided to end our engagement,\u201d the duo wrote, in part, in a joint Instagram post. \u201cWe are thankful for all of you who gave us the time and space to process this life altering decision as there are many emotions and changes to navigate.\u201d<\/p>\n They emphasized in their announcement that their split is an amicable one. \u201cContinuing our friendship is incredibly important to both of us,\u201d they explained. \u201cWe feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other. It\u2019s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die.\u201d<\/p>\n Prior to their romance, Bristowe was engaged to Shawn Booth<\/strong><\/a>, who won season 11 of The Bachelorette<\/em>.
