Some Bachelor Nation splits hit harder than others.<\/a><\/p>\n After months of speculation, Becca Kufrin<\/strong> <\/a>confirmed in September 2020 that she and Garrett Yrigoyen<\/strong> <\/a>ended their engagement.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to come as a shock to anyone, but Garrett and I have decided to end our engagement<\/a>,\u201d the season 14 Bachelorette said on her \u201cBachelor Happy Hour\u201d podcast. \u201cAfter many conversations, we came to this decision. It wasn\u2019t something that we just arrived at one night,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t based solely off of one Instagram post or somebody else\u2019s opinions or comments. There\u2019s much more to it. To any relationship, there\u2019s a lot of layers, and it\u2019s not for me to divulge details. It\u2019s no one\u2019s business other than what I\u2019m telling you right now.\u201d<\/p>\n The twosome got engaged on the August 2018 finale of The Bachelorette.<\/em> Fans knew there was trouble in paradise after Kufrin recorded an emotional episode of \u201cBachelor Happy Hour\u201d about Yrigoyen\u2019s support for the police amid the Black Lives Matter movement in June 2020 with cohost Rachel Lindsay<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cJust because we\u2019ve arrived at this decision now doesn\u2019t take away all of the years and the countless memories that we\u2019ve made together,\u201d Kufrin said. \u201cI will always look back at this time in my life with so much gratitude and love.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Kufrin ultimately got her happily ever after with Bachelor in Paradise<\/em> costar Thomas Jacobs<\/strong><\/a>. She announced their engagement<\/a> via Instagram in May 2022, after seven months of dating. The Bachelor<\/em> season 22 winner revealed that she was the one to propose to Jacobs, captioning a series of engagement photos, \u201cIn the ultimate plot twist\u2026HE SAID YES!\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier in 2020, Colton Underwood <\/a><\/strong>and Cassie Randolph <\/a><\/strong>called it quits. The duo met and fell in love while filming season 23 of The Bachelor,<\/em> which aired in 2019.<\/p>\n The twosome vowed to stay friends in their respective statements about their split.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cColton and I have broken up, but have decided to remain a part of each others [sic] lives. With all that we have gone through, we have a special bond that will always be there,\u201d Randolph wrote on May 29.<\/p>\n Underwood added, \u201cSometimes people are just meant to be friends \u2013 and that\u2019s okay. We both have grown immensely and been through so much together \u2013 so this isn\u2019t the end of our story, it\u2019s the start of a whole new chapter for us.\u201d.<\/p>\n The exes later unfollowed each other on social media after Randolph accused Underwood of trying to monetize their split. He came out as gay in 2021.<\/p>\n That same year marked a lot of splits for the show, with Clare Crawley <\/strong>and Dale Moss, Tayshia Adams <\/strong>and Zac Clark, Katie Thurston <\/strong>and Blake Moynes<\/strong> all ending their respective engagements.<\/p>\n More recently, Clayton Echard <\/strong><\/a>and Susie Evans<\/strong> called it quits<\/a> in September 2022.<\/p>\n The Bachelor<\/em> franchise has been matchmaking since 2002. Back in 2003, Trista Rehn <\/strong><\/a>and Ryan Sutter<\/strong> became the first Bachelor Nation couple to walk down the aisle.<\/a> The twosome, who met while filming the first season of The Bachelorette<\/em>,<\/a> celebrated 18 years of marriage in December 2021.<\/p>\n
