Euphoria<\/a><\/em> actor Angus Cloud<\/a><\/strong> has died, his family said. He was 25.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,\u201d the actor\u2019s family said in a statement<\/a>. \u201cAs an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLast week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,\u201d the statement concluded.<\/p>\n

Cloud rose to fame for his breakout role in the HBO series, Euphoria<\/em>. He starred as Fezco \u2013 a high school dropout and drug dealer \u2013 on the series, which premiered in 2019.<\/p>\n

In 2022, Cloud attended Variety\u2019s annual Power of Young Hollywood event where he recalled being \u201cplucked off the street\u201d for the role in Euphoria<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was with some friends,\u201d Cloud said of the encounter. \u201cWe were just hanging out.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIt does bother me when people are like, \u2018It must be so easy. You get to go in and be yourself.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Why don\u2019t you go and do that?\u2019 It\u2019s not that simple. I brought a lot to the character. You can believe what you want. It ain\u2019t got nothing to do with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jennifer Venditti, Euphoria<\/em> casting director, told the outlet that Cloud did not get enough credit for his role.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople think, \u2018Oh, he just shows up. He\u2019s just this lazy stoner.\u2019 Angus doesn\u2019t get enough credit,\u201d she told the outlet at the event in 2022.<\/p>\n

Cloud also starred in North Hollywood<\/em> in 2021 and The Line<\/em> in 2023.<\/p>\n
