Dr Phil<\/a> to detail her horrific abuse at the hands of her mum.<\/p>\nIn a 12-minute video posted on Facebook she said while weeping: \u201cI\u2019m all by myself. And there\u2019s absolutely nobody in my life except my doctor, my psychiatrist, the sweetest man on Earth, who says I\u2019m his hero, and that\u2019s about the only thing keeping me alive at the moment… and that\u2019s kind of pathetic.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am now living in a Travelodge motel in the a**e end of New Jersey.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want everyone to know what it\u2019s like \u2013 that\u2019s why I\u2019m making this video.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cMental illness, it\u2019s like drugs, it doesn\u2019t give a s**** who you are, and equally what\u2019s worse, it\u2019s the stigma, it doesn\u2019t give a s*** who you are.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nA year before the Facebook video, she disappeared for more than 36 hours after going on a bike ride in Chicago.<\/p>\n
\nSin\u00e9ad went on to tell Dr Phil, 72, she was kept in a \u201ctorture chamber\u201d by her mum.<\/p>\n
\nShe said on his show about her mother Johanna Marie, who died in 1985 in a car crash aged 45 when Sin\u00e9ad was 19: \u201cI am fed up of being defined as the crazy person; the childhood abuse survivor.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cShe (my mother) ran a torture chamber. She was a person who took delight in hurting you.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cShe used to make me say over and over again, \u2018I am nothing. I am nothing\u2019 while she was beating me.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cShe was not well; she was really very, very, very not well. I would say she was possessed although I\u2019m not sure I believe in such things.”<\/p>\n
\nWhen Dr. Phil asked what she loved most about her mum, the singer replied: \u201cWhat I love about my mother is that she\u2019s dead.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSin\u00e9ad \u2013 whose remains have now been returned to her family, and whose death came 18 months after her son Shane, 17, took his life after he escaped from a hospital while on suicide watch \u2013 was also open about her horrific relationship with her mum Johanna Marie in her brutal memoir \u2018Rememberings\u2019.<\/p>\n
\nHer Dr Phil chat was 27 years after Sin\u00e9ad wept for her mum in the \u2018Nothing Compares\u2019 promo.<\/p>\n
\nShe said while filming the music video she couldn\u2019t stop thinking about her mum as she walked around during its shoot, adding: \u201cI didn\u2019t know I was going to cry singing it. \u201cEvery time I sing the song, I think of my mother.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI never stopped crying for her.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
