Brooks Koepka<\/strong><\/a> and Jena Sims<\/strong> tied the knot one year after the golfer got down on one knee in spring 2021.<\/p>\n The twosome first crossed paths at the 2015 Masters, but things weren\u2019t romantic between the pair right away. After they started to date, their relationship became public knowledge when announcer Joe Buck<\/strong><\/a> misidentified Sims as Koepka\u2019s ex-girlfriend Becky Edwards<\/strong> when the pro won the U.S. Open in 2017.<\/p>\n \u201cMy phone LIT up,\u201d Sims recalled of the viral moment to Golf Digest<\/em><\/a> in 2019. \u201cIt was half like, \u2018Congratulations to Brooks!\u2019 And the other half were, \u2018Did you hear what happened?\u2019 And I was like, of course I did. It was immediate. I was like, It\u2019s OK, life continues. We\u2019re just fine. It was an honest mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n Sims continued to be by Koepka\u2019s side<\/a> when he won the U.S. Open again in 2018 and when he won the PGA Championship in 2018 and 2019.<\/p>\n The duo had been together for more than five years when Koepka proposed<\/a>. \u201cForever is no joke \ud83d\udc95,\u201d Sims gushed via Instagram in April 2021 alongside snaps from the Jupiter, Florida, proposal.<\/p>\n The couple eventually said \u201cI do\u201d in June 2022<\/a> in a romantic ceremony in Turks and Caicos. One year later, they welcomed their first child, son Crew.<\/p>\n
