Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s mom, Tina Knowles<\/strong><\/a>, took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 2, to clap back at the accusations that her eldest daughter shaded Lizzo.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe also didn\u2019t say her own sisters [Solange Knowles<\/strong><\/a>] name yal should really stop,\u201d Tina \u2014 who filed for divorce from estranged husband Richard Lawson<\/strong><\/a> late last month \u2014 commented on The Shade Room\u2019s coverage of the story.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong><\/a> appeared to make a statement at the Renaissance World Tour<\/em><\/a> following the sexual harassment allegations against Lizzo<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

During her Tuesday, August 1, performance in Boston, Beyonc\u00e9, 41, skipped over Lizzo\u2019s name while performing the song \u201cBreak My Soul (The Queens Remix).\u201d<\/a> Though Lizzo\u2019s name still appeared on the stage\u2019s big screen along with the likes of Nina Simone, Kelly Rowland<\/strong><\/a>, Lauryn Hill<\/strong><\/a> and more Black female entertainers, Beyonc\u00e9 sang over the lyric by repeating Erykah Badu<\/strong>\u2019s last name four times.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeyonc\u00e9 reiterating Badu and skipping Lizzo\u2026 that\u2019s on hitting 2 birds with 1 stone,\u201d a fan captioned a clip of the performance<\/a> via X (formerly known as Twitter<\/a>), referring to Badu\u2019s recent comments that Beyonc\u00e9 copied a signature black hat look of hers<\/a> for the tour.<\/p>\n

Lizzo, 35, previously shared a clip of her tearful reaction to hearing Beyonc\u00e9 sing her name during one of the tour\u2019s Poland performances. \u201cIn that moment I was thinking about baby me, listening to Happy Face by destiny\u2019s child<\/a> and crying myself to sleep because of bullies,\u201d Lizzo captioned the June Instagram<\/a> clip.<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cI thought about Beyonc\u00e9 jumping into the room where Tina Turner was waiting to meet her for the first time. I think of what we all mean to people and how cyclical it is. We are all so infinitesimally and maximally connected and significant. It\u2019s an honor. Thank You @beyonce \ud83d\udc96.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 made her subtle dig the same day Lizzo (real name Melissa Jefferson) was sued by three former dancers<\/a> \u2014 Arianna Davis<\/strong>, Crystal Williams<\/strong> and Noelle Rodriguez<\/strong> \u2014 for sexual harassment, religious harassment, disability discrimination, creating a hostile work environment and more. The suit also names Lizzo\u2019s tour company, Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc. (BGBT), and dance captain Shirlene Quigley<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly<\/em> on Tuesday, the dancers alleged that Quigley made several comments about Davis\u2019 virginity and made the group \u201cuncomfortable\u201d by simulating \u201coral sex on a banana in front of the rest of the dance cast.\u201d<\/p>\n

While competing on the reality competition series Lizzo\u2019s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls<\/em><\/a>, Davis and Williams claim they were required to participate in a nude photo shoot<\/a> and feared they would be sent home if they refused. Lizzo also invited her dancers to an outing in Amsterdam\u2019s Red Light District. The group felt \u201cobligated\u201d to attend due to fear of losing their jobs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile at Bananenbar, things quickly got out of hand. Lizzo began inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers\u2019 vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers\u2019 vaginas,\u201d the lawsuit states. \u201cLizzo then turned her attention to Ms. Davis and began pressuring Ms. Davis to touch the breasts of one of the nude women performing at the club.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other allegations include dancers not being allowed to work other jobs<\/a> while on break from tour, Davis being fired after allegedly filming a dance team meeting and Lizzo acting \u201caggressively\u201d toward Rodriguez after she confronted the singer about Davis and Williams\u2019 firings.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing,\u201d attorney Ron Zambrano<\/strong> in a statement on Tuesday. Lizzo has yet to publicly address the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
