After years of virtual captivity, Britney Spears is finally free \u2014 sort of.<\/p>\n

Britney is no longer under the control of the court-ordered conservatorship <\/a>that governed her every move and decision for most of her adult life.<\/p>\n

But she\u2019s still one of the most famous people on the planet, which means that she may never know true freedom.<\/p>\n

The pop icon received a sad reminder of that dilemma over the weekend, when she and husband Sam Asghari attempted to enjoy a quiet dinner at a local restaurant.<\/p>\n
