Lizzo sued by former dancers for sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment<\/h2>\n
Lizzo<\/a><\/strong> is facing a shocking new lawsuit. Suing the singer are three tour dancers who claim that they dealt with sexual harassment and a hostile work environment, including being pressured to touch nude dancers during a live sex show, via a complaint filed Tuesday (August 1) in court in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n Arianna Davis<\/strong>, Crystal Williams<\/strong>, and Noelle Rodriguez<\/strong> accuse Lizzo and her BIG Grrrl Big Touring Inc. of various things, including racial and religious discrimination.<\/p>\n At one point, the lawsuit claims that Lizzo pressured the dancers to attend a sex show in the Red Light District in Amsterdam and then pressured them to engage with the performers.<\/p>\n \u201cLizzo began inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers\u2019 vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers\u2019 vaginas,\u201d the lawsuit claims.<\/p>\n \u201cLizzo then turned her attention to Ms. Davis and began pressuring Ms. Davis to touch the breasts of one of the nude women performing at the club.\u201d<\/p>\n The lawsuit also claims that the captain of Lizzo\u2019s dance team forced her religious beliefs on the plaintiffs and made them uncomfortable, including commenting about their virginity and simulating oral sex on a banana.<\/p>\n The lawsuit also claims that Lizzo \u201ccalled attention\u201d to a dancer\u2019s weight gain after a performance at South by Southwest, and while the team \u201cnever explicitly stated it,\u201d they allegedly gave the impression that Arianna Davis \u201cneeded to explain her weight gain and disclose intimate personal details about her life in order to keep her job.\u201d<\/p>\n The dancers\u2019 attorney Ron Zambrano called attention to those allegations about weight gain: \u201cThe stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPlaintiffs were aghast with how little regard Lizzo showed for the bodily autonomy of her employees and those around her, especially in the presence of many people whom she employed,\u201d the suit says.
