Bella Hadid<\/strong><\/a> and Marc Kalman<\/strong> have chosen to keep their relationship private after sparking romance speculation in summer 2020.<\/p>\n After having a very public relationship with The Weeknd<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 the two dated on and off for four years<\/a> before their August 2019 split \u2014 Hadid has remained somewhat tight-lipped about her new beau.<\/p>\n Hadid and Kalman were first linked in July 2020<\/a> after being spotted having a meal together in New York City.<\/p>\n While eagle-eyed fans noticed the model out on occasion with the art director on and off during 2020, it wasn\u2019t until July 2021 that Hadid confirmed the romance<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cTime of my life \u23f3\ud83c\udf7e,\u201d she wrote via Instagram at the time. \u201cHealthy, Working and Loved \u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83d\udd25\ud83c\udf39.\u201d<\/p>\n Hadid shared a blurry snap getting cozy with Kalman, marking the couple\u2019s Instagram debut. The picture, which has since been deleted, was taken in France while the pair were in town for the Cannes Film Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n Six months later, Hadid opened up about her past relationships<\/a> and dynamic with men, pointing to a more positive romance with Kalman.<\/p>\n \u201cI grew up around men \u2014 whether that was in relationships or family or whatever that was \u2014 where I was constantly told that my voice was less important than their voice,\u201d she revealed during a January 2022 appearance on Victoria\u2019s Secret\u2019s \u201cVS Voices\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cNot having the boundaries of being able to stick up for myself and have my voice being heard affected me in my adult relationships very intensely.\u201d<\/p>\n She recalled her nervous system crashing as a result of the negative experiences. \u201cIt was fight or flight. \u2026 That\u2019s something I really had to work on, where I constantly went back to men \u2013 and also women \u2013 that had abused me, and that\u2019s where the people-pleasing came in,\u201d Hadid added.<\/p>\n The Parsons School of Design student<\/a> noted that for a long time she didn\u2019t have \u201cboundaries\u201d in both personal and professional scenarios. Hadid explained that she has since gone to therapy to find balance.<\/p>\n
