Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya<\/strong> is not afraid to admit that he was largely absent for much of his children\u2019s lives and has even thanked Blink-182\u2019s Travis Barker<\/a><\/strong> for stepping up to raise his daughter, Atiana De La Hoya<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cLook, I didn\u2019t raise my kids, you know? Their moms did. And I have to give credit where credit is due<\/a>,\u201d Oscar said ahead of the release of his documentary, <\/span>The Golden Boy<\/span><\/i>. \u201cI\u2019m grateful that Barker was there, you know, as a father figure for my daughter. I have to be grateful that Shanna was a mother to Atiana, and just know my place, basically, you know? My place \u2013 I\u2019m obviously a father, and I\u2019m proud of it. But, again, I\u2019m grateful for what they\u2019ve done. Especially with Barker. He\u2019s obviously stepped up to the plate.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Atiana \u2013 whom Oscar shares with ex-fianc\u00e9e Shanna Moakler<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 has had a close bond with the drummer since he married her mother, Shanna Moakler, in October 2004. The 24-year-old remained close to her former stepfather even after he split from Shanna<\/a> and subsequent marriage to <\/span>Kardashians <\/span><\/i><\/a>star Kourtney Kardashian<\/strong> in May 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to Atiana, Oscar shares sons Jacob and Devon with Toni Alvarado<\/strong> and Angelicque McQueen<\/strong>, respectively. He\u2019s also father to three other children, Oscar, Nina and Victoria<\/a>, whom he shares with estranged wife Milagros Corretjer<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
