Kelly Stafford<\/strong><\/a> clarified that she is not battling cancer \u2014 and expressed frustration over false stories \u2014 as she keeps fans up to date on her recent health scare.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is a bunch [of stories] circulating right now and want to reiterate that I DO NOT HAVE CANCER,\u201d Stafford, 34, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Monday, July 24. \u201cIf journalists actually took time to check facts these days, they would know this.\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly, who is married to Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford<\/strong><\/a>, added: \u201cI\u2019m infuriated. Most the time I wouldn\u2019t care what people wrote because it didn\u2019t matter. THIS MATTERS.\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly further explained that incorrect stories about her fighting cancer \u201ctakes away from the people who are fighting this horrible disease \u2026 fighting to live another day, fighting to be there with the ones they love, fighting 24\/7. So PLEASE send your prayers to them.\u201d<\/p>\n She concluded: \u201cI will reiterate it again, I do not have cancer and I have never had cancer. I\u2019m so sorry again for the ones who are fighting. \ud83d\ude4f And to you so called journalists out there, be better. And stop using me as click bait because nfl camp is starting back \ud83d\ude44.\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly \u2014 who shares twins Sawyer and Chandler, 7, and daughters Hunter, 5, and Tyler, 3<\/a>, with Matthew, 35 \u2014 also slammed a headline that read, \u201cMatthew Stafford\u2019s Wife Kelly Thinks She Might Have Cancer Again.\u201d<\/p>\n She pointed out via her Instagram story on Monday that \u201cpart of the reason I don\u2019t wanna share my life [is] people take it and use it as click bait. I said I did not have cancer, but I was terrified of the possibility considering what I have been feeling \u2026 but REITERATED IT SEVERAL TIMES that it was ruled out.\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly, who reiterated that she has \u201cnever had cancer before,\u201d addressed the misleading stories one week after she spoke out about her recent health scare on her \u201cThe Morning After\u201d podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI missed last week because I have been very sick. I don\u2019t want to scare people,\u201d Kelly told her listeners on Tuesday, July 18. \u201cI\u2019ve been breaking through my birth control every two weeks. I\u2019ve had heavy, heavy periods.\u201d<\/p>\n She confessed at the time that when her OB-GYN called and told her they found \u201cthings\u201d on her thyroid scan, it \u201cscared the s\u2014t out of me.\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly \u2014 who was diagnosed in 2019 with a benign brain tumor<\/a>, which was later successfully removed \u2014 explained on the podcast that after not feeling \u201cgreat\u201d for days she thought, \u201cI have f\u2014king cancer.\u201d Although she also entertained the idea it was all in her head, her symptoms got worse and she ended up in the hospital for \u201ca lot of pain in my stomach and in my back.\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly told her listeners on Tuesday that doctors ruled out cancer during that hospital visit and told her she was dealing with a stomach bug. \u201cThere\u2019s no cancer,\u201d she said. \u201cThat was my biggest fear.\u201d<\/p>\n While Kelly confirmed she was cancer-free during the podcast, she revealed her stomach issues had not subsided.
