Loren Brovarnik\u2019s parents are not taking things well<\/a>.<\/p>\nIt is more than understandable for grandparents to worry about their children and grandbabies spending years in another country.<\/p>\n
What is not normal or acceptable is the degree to which Loren\u2019s mom is protesting. This time, she crosses a line.<\/p>\n
Loren\u2019s mother threatens to hit her \u2014 all but admitting that, were producers not watching, she might have. Watch the sneak peek clip below!<\/p>\n<\/noscript>Marlene and Bryan have been against the idea of Loren and Alexei moving to Israel from the start.<\/p>\n
The Brovarniks have discussed living there for a few years while the kids are little, and then moving back to the US.<\/p>\n
On the one hand, they\u2019re not talking about staying long enough for Shai to be pressed into the IDF or sent to prison for refusing. On the other, it\u2019s a long time \u2014 for a little kid or for a grandparent.<\/p>\nBut Marlene and Bryan\u2019s objections have grown increasingly hostile over time.<\/p>\n
On next week\u2019s episode, Marlene blows a gasket.<\/p>\n
As you can see in the video below, Marlene threatens her pregnant daughter with physical violence during a heated altercation.<\/p>\nThe context for this dispute is that Loren is chatting alone with her parents. This apparently takes place after an ugly discussion with Alexei\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
Bryan is looking awkward and silent during this exchange. Marlene is speaking loudly enough for both of them.<\/p>\n
Both women accuse the other of being disrespectful. Honestly, they may both be right \u2014 but only one of them crosses the line.<\/p>\nLoren accuses her mother of having specifically been to Alexei and to his relatives.<\/p>\n
She also worries that her mother is clearly underestimating her as a person.<\/p>\n
According to her, Marlene has been telling people that Loren is utterly incapable of moving to Israel with her small children.<\/p>\nMarlene heatedly disputes that characterization of her words.<\/p>\n
It sounds like Loren also feels like Marlene insulted Alexei\u2019s parents and their homeland when discussing things with them.<\/p>\n
After a while, Marlene\u2019s anger is clearly boiling over, and she demands that Loren simply \u201cshut the f\u2013k up.\u201d<\/p>\nShe gets right up in Loren\u2019s face and threatens to hit her.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I didn\u2019t have a room full of people, I\u2019d probably slap you in the face because you\u2019re disrespectful \u2014 to your<\/em> mother,\u201d Marlene hisses.<\/p>\nShe then spits: \u201cYou\u00a0know what? You don\u2019t talk to anyone else like that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n
