Jamie Foxx<\/a><\/strong> has said he is on his way back and returning to work after being hospitalized earlier this year.<\/p>\n In April, his daughter Corrine Foxx<\/strong> said he had experienced a \u201cmedical complication<\/a>,\u201d but the family did not share details about his health issue.<\/p>\n In an Instagram<\/a> post on Saturday, Foxx thanked his family for keeping details about his health \u201cairtight.\u201d<\/p>\n The silence led to speculations, the comedian said, but he reassured fans that he was not paralyzed or blind.<\/p>\n For the first time since he was released from the hospital, Foxx thanked his social media followers for messages of support. \u201cI cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He explained that although many people were eager to hear updates, he didn\u2019t want fans to see him \u201cwith tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie [or] television show,\u201d Foxx added.<\/p>\n \u201cMy sister Deidra Dixon<\/strong>, my daughter Corrine really saved my life,\u201d the 55-year-old said, adding that he could only make the video for his fans due \u201cto them, to God, to a lot of great medical people.\u201d<\/p>\n Foxx said that privacy during his illness had been vital to him. \u201cI cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in in such a way, and y\u2019all know they kept it airtight, they didn\u2019t let nothing out.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey protected me, and that\u2019s what I hope that everyone could have in moments like these.\u201d<\/p>\n In May, his daughter said Foxx had been discharged from the hospital for \u201cweeks\u201d and was recovering well. The actor was reportedly in a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, where he had been filming Netflix\u2019s Back In Action<\/strong><\/em> alongside Cameron Diaz<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n In his video to fans, Foxx said he had been \u201cto hell and back,\u201d and his \u201croad to recovery had some potholes as well.\u201d<\/p>\n But, he added, \u201cI\u2019m coming back and I\u2019m able to work.\u201d<\/p>\n Messages of support for Foxx have been pouring in. \u201cThankful to see you bro, truly\u201d, Idris Elba <\/a><\/strong>commented on Foxx\u2019s post. \u201cGod is good,\u201d said Viola Davis<\/strong>, while John Boyega<\/strong> and Tracee Ellis Ross<\/strong> also sent their love to the star.<\/p>\n Foxx, who stars in the recently released They Cloned Tyrone<\/em><\/strong> film on Netflix, also expanded his gratitude to \u201cthe people who are letting me work.\u201d<\/p>\n In 2024, he will host a new music-centric game show called We Are Family<\/strong><\/em> on Fox alongside his daughter, a 29-year-old actress, model, and activist.<\/p>\n The pair said they were \u201cthrilled\u201d to have worked on the show.<\/p>\n![\"Jamie](\"https:\/\/socialitelife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/jamie-foxx-photos-07222023-1-1160x1741.jpg\")
