He uploaded this photo to Instagram in September 2022.<span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>What a standup guy, huh?<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere on the documentary, Gosselin patted his own back for spending a ton of money in order to free son Collin from a mental health facility in 2017 after Kate sent the teenager away to live there.<\/p>\n<p>Kate never elaborated on the basis for this decision \u2014 and then Collin wrote his dad a letter in 2017, begging to be freed from the facility.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDear Dad, I\u2019m not trying to trick you, but I still love you,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2019\/09\/collin-gosselin-accuses-mother-of-child-abuse-begs-for-dads-help\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Collin wrote in this message<\/a>, which was eventually obtained by DailyMailTV.<\/p>\n<p>The letter continued as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told Mom I want to live with you, she said no. But right? She can\u2019t choose for me. I\u2019m old enough now, I\u2019m YOUR son, not hers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was abusive to me after I left your house. I\u2019m sorry.
