It\u2019s Britney Spears<\/strong><\/a> (and Will.i.am<\/strong><\/a>), bitch! The artists are back for another collaboration with \u201cMind Your Business.\u201d<\/p>\n Spears, 41, and Will.i.am, 48, dropped the upbeat, in-your-face track on Friday, July 21, just days after teasing a snippet of the song via Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sooo honored and excited for this release \u2026,\u201d the former Black Eyed Peas artist captioned the teaser on Wednesday, July 18. Thank you @britneyspears \u2026 you\u2019re one of the most fearless, strongest, kindest, purest people I\u2019ve met in my life \u2026 I always loved working with you and I always will.\u201d<\/p>\n Spears wastes no time on the song telling haters exactly what they should do: \u201cMind yo business bitch.\u201d Her verse continues, \u201cUptown, downtown, everywhere I turn around \/ Hollywood, London, snap-snap is the sound \/ Paparazzi shot me, I am the economy \/ Follow me, follow me, follow me, follow, follow me.\u201d<\/p>\n Both musicians make references to living a life in the spotlight. \u201cToo much looky-looky, I\u2019m so sick of all these looky-loos \/ Everybody lookin\u2019 at me like I was the breakin\u2019 news \/ Police got a sting, watchin\u2019 every step I take \/ Every move I make, every breath I take,\u201d Will.i.am sings.<\/p>\n \u201cMind Your Business\u201d marks the second collaboration between Spears and Will.i.am after their 2012 hit, \u201cScream & Shout.\u201d The track went three-times platinum in the U.S. and reached the coveted 1 billion views mark on YouTube in May.<\/p>\n The track is also Spears\u2019 first release of the year, following her 2022 collaboration with Elton John<\/strong><\/a>, \u201cHold Me Closer.\u201d The tune \u2014 which interpolates a series of songs by John, including \u201cTiny Dancer\u201d \u2014 was the first piece of music Spears dropped since the end of her 13-year conservatorship<\/a> in November 2021.<\/p>\n One month later, she candidly explained why she took a years-long hiatus during her conservatorship.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople have no idea the awful things that were done to me personally \u2026 and after what I\u2019ve been through, I\u2019m scared of people and the business,\u201d Spears shared via social media at the time. \u201cThey really hurt me. Not doing my music anymore is my way of saying \u2018F\u2014k You\u2019 in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work \u2026 it\u2019s like I\u2019ve subconsciously let them win.\u201d<\/p>\n While Britney has had many high points in her life following the termination of the conservatorship \u2014 including marrying Sam Asghari<\/strong><\/a> and reconciling with sister Jamie Lynn Spears<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 \u201cMind Your Business\u201d was released weeks after another headline-making moment. She was hit in the face<\/a> by a member of NBA star Victor Wembanyama<\/strong>\u2019s security.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, Britney shared via Instagram that she \u201ctapped\u201d the San Antonio Spurs player<\/a>, 19, in a hotel lobby to get his attention \u2014 only to be smacked by his security guard.<\/p>\n \u201cTraumatic experiences are not new to me and I have had my fair share of them. I was not prepared for what happened to me last night,\u201d wrote Britney, who is releasing her memoir, The Woman in Me<\/em><\/a>, this fall. \u201cI recognized an athlete in my hotel lobby as I was heading to dinner. I later went to a restaurant at a different hotel and saw him again.
