Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> has opened up about society influencing her insecurities, revealing who shamed her into getting a nose job<\/a> \u2014 her mom, Kris Jenner<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n During the July 20 episode of <\/span>The Kardashians<\/span><\/i> on Hulu, Khlo\u00e9, 39, hung out with sisters Kylie Jenner<\/strong><\/a> and Kourtney Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> as Kylie, 25, did Kourt\u2019s makeup. Kourtney, 44, struck up a conversation about \u201cbeauty standards in the world today,\u201d which led the trio to discuss their own struggles with insecurities as a result of those standards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s how I accumulated [my insecurities], from other people. \u2026 I had the most confidence,\u201d Khlo\u00e9 told her sisters. \u201cI was chubby in a skintight bodycon dress. You couldn\u2019t tell me otherwise. Society gave me insecurities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n In a confessional, Khlo\u00e9 recalled that she was always treated differently because she didn\u2019t look like her sisters. However, when she started to change her appearance through plastic surgery<\/a> and fillers, people still judged her. Khlo\u00e9 then admitted to her sisters, \u201cWho knows if I never heard Mom talk about my nose if I would ever have thought I needed a nose job.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cRight, I definitely heard her talk about your nose,\u201d Kourtney agreed, to which Khlo\u00e9 replied, \u201cYes, Mom talked about my nose all the time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Back in 2013, Khlo\u00e9 told <\/span>Cosmopolitan U.K.<\/span><\/i><\/a> that she first overheard momager Kris talking about her nose when she was only 9 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWords are the most powerful weapon; they can leave scars forever,\u201d the Good American founder said. \u201cShe didn\u2019t mean harm, but when I was around 9 I overheard my mom telling her friend I needed a nose job. I was shocked; I hadn\u2019t even thought about it. I\u2019ve grown into my face but I\u2019ve had makeup artists tell me, \u2018You should get a nose job.\u2019 I\u2019m so happy that I never have\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Khlo\u00e9\u2019s refusal to get a nose job eventually wore down, though. After several years of fan speculation, she finally admitted during the<\/span> Keeping Up With the Kardashians<\/span><\/i> reunion in June 2021 that she had the procedure done. Later, in an April 2022 <\/span>tweet<\/span><\/a>, Khlo\u00e9 revealed that she got the nose job a few weeks before her daughter, True Thompson<\/a>, turned 1 year old in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt honestly was so easy for me,\u201d she wrote to a fan who shared that their own rhinoplasty recovery experience was difficult. \u201cMy only regret is that I didn\u2019t do it sooner.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Khlo\u00e9 has been vocal in recent years about society\u2019s expectations and judgments when it comes to her physical appearance. In April 2021, she showcased her body<\/a> \u201cunretouched and unfiltered\u201d <\/span>on Instagram<\/span><\/a> days after she had a viral bikini photo removed online<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe photo that was posted this week was beautiful,\u201d she wrote. \u201cBut as someone who has struggled with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn\u2019t flattering in bad lighting or doesn\u2019t capture your body the way it is after working to hard to get it to this point \u2013 and then shares it to the world \u2013 you should have every right to ask for it not to be shared \u2013 no matter who you are.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Khlo\u00e9 went on to say that the \u201cconstant ridicule\u201d she\u2019s received has taken a toll on her mentally. However, she has come to realize that she doesn\u2019t need to be perfect. At the same time, if she wants to add a filter or edit to her photos to boost her confidence, she will.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMy body, my image, and how I choose to look and what I want to share is my choice,\u201d she wrote. \u201cIt\u2019s not for anyone to decide or judge what is acceptable anymore.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
