The shock jock, 69, was embroiled in a bitter feud with 57-year-old Mancow \u2013 whose real name is Matthew Erich Muller \u2013 when they were rival DJs at competing radio stations in the 1990s, with Howard once threatening to \u201crape\u201d his ex-nemesis. <\/p>\n
Mancow ranted in a trailer for Vice TV\u2019s upcoming docuseries \u2018Dark Side of the 2000s\u2019 about how their rivalry erupted as his dad John was battling terminal cancer: \u201cMy father was a $30,000 a year cabinet maker and he became the number one topic on Stern\u2019s show for a year. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe countdown to his death\u2026 how he was going to have sex with my mother. \u201cHow he was gonna use my mother\u2019s saliva on himself when he raped me, how he was gonna dig up my father\u2019s corpse \u2013 he told his listeners to go to my father\u2019s funeral.\u201d<\/p>\n
Howard also once branded Mancow his \u201cb***h\u201d and called himself \u201cthe master vampire\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nMancow added: \u201cWhat is that? That type of demonic evil, this is wrong.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nSome of Howard\u2019s staff at the time felt the shock jock had gone too far with his abuse. <\/p>\n
\nJackie Martling, former head writer for \u2018The Howard Stern Show\u2019, recalled the \u201cruthless\u201d feud in the docuseries. <\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cHe\u2019d start saying horrible things. I didn\u2019t want anybody to think that this is my concept.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nMancow admitted Howard\u2019s team \u201ccalled me and apologised\u201d for the abuse, adding: \u201c(They) wanted me to know, \u2018I didn\u2019t write this, this isn\u2019t funny.\u2019 <\/p>\n
\n\u201cThey would tell him: \u2018Howard, you\u2019re gonna lose them, this is a mistake!\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n
\nHoward\u2019s other infamous feuds have included one with comic Kathie Lee Gifford, who says he targeted her despite never meeting him. <\/p>\n
\nThe 69-year-old told the Today show: \u201cHoward Stern had a feud with me going on 30 years. I never met him. I never listened to his show. He hated my guts for 30 years.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nShe added about how he eventually called to say sorry and they made up: \u201cWe had a half-hour conversation. <\/p>\n
\n\u201c(Howard said), \u2018Will you forgive me, Kathie, please? I\u2019m doing some hard work on my life. I know I hurt you. I\u2019m so sorry and I need to ask you to forgive me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
