Dolores Catania<\/strong><\/a> has dropped 20 pounds while taking the weight loss drug Mounjaro \u2014 and she isn\u2019t done yet.<\/p>\n The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 52, revealed that her goal weight is \u201cto be in the low 130s,\u201d telling The U.S. Sun<\/em><\/a> on Sunday, July 16, \u201cI\u2019m being realistic. Right now, I\u2019m 137. I was 157 when I started.\u201d<\/p>\n Catania originally started to shed pounds after being on Ozempic for two years. She has since switched to Mounjaro \u2014 and hopes to lose more weight<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI took Ozempic, stopped and then began Mounjaro. I was medically prescribed for both because I am insulin resistant, pre-diabetic and have a thyroid issue,\u201d Catania said, adding that she was previously \u201cgaining weight every month\u201d before trying the medications. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t happen overnight. It doesn\u2019t come off easy.\u201d<\/p>\n The Bravo star claimed she has also prioritized exercise, healthy meals and less drinking.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI stopped taking [Ozempic] because it was expensive and everything. But being healthy and living a healthy lifestyle is cheap \u2014 it\u2019s free!\u201d she shared. \u201cI work out regularly. There is no easy fix for weight loss and I have to watch what I eat.\u201d<\/p>\n Catania told Andy Cohen<\/strong><\/a> earlier this year that she took semaglutide to avoid coming to the RHONJ<\/em> reunion<\/a> \u201clooking any bigger than anyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality star went on to say that she has only experienced one major side effect, adding, \u201c[I\u2019m] just not hungry.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Catania\u2019s costar Jackie Goldschneider<\/strong><\/a> publicly called out people who took Ozempic not for its intended purpose. (The medication is used to help diabetes patients with weight management.)<\/p>\n \u201cI can talk about Ozempic all day. It gets me so fired up,\u201d Goldschneider, 46, said during a February episode of the \u201cVirtual Reali-Tea\u201d podcast. \u201cI\u2019m horrified by it. I\u2019m not so much horrified by people wanting to lose weight \u2014 that has always been a universal thing \u2014 but I\u2019m very, very scared of what will happen if and when people have to go off this drug.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cIt\u2019s just going to be a massive number of people who gain a huge amount of weight and suddenly don\u2019t know what to do with themselves. I\u2019m just afraid of that day. There\u2019s going to be a lot of people with eating disorders. You start dropping massive amounts of weight. That\u2019s so addicting. That\u2019s how I spiraled into anorexia. You get addicted to this new body and to the attention that comes with it.\u201d<\/p>\n
