Ice Cube is insisting Kanye West is in a \u2018good space\u2018<\/p>\n
The former N.W.A rapper, 54, opened up about his scandal-hit friend, 46, as he continues to reel from having his multi-million dollar brand deals cancelled following his series of anti-Semitic outbursts last year. <\/p>\n
Cube said on the \u2018Piers Morgan Uncensored\u2019 show: \u201cI believe he\u2019s doing great.\u201d<\/p>\n
The rapper added Kanye is still fighting for access to some of his money, but said for the most part he is \u201cin a good space\u201d. <\/p>\n
Cube said: \u201cI think he\u2019s learned a lot from this past year, and hopefully he\u2019ll come out better on the other side.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe added he had talked to dad-of-four Kanye about his rants \u2013 in which the rapper glorified Hitler and tweeted about going \u201cdeath con 3\u201d on Jewish people. <\/p>\n
\nCube said: \u201cI felt that if he was really upset with specific people that the message he was saying would kind of hijack what he\u2019s really upset about. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cThat\u2019s kind of what happened. You just can\u2019t generalise, you have to be specific especially if you\u2019re taking about anybody or any race.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nCube spoke about the rapper event though the pair had a falling out last year when Kanye said on \u2018Drink Champs\u2019 Cube had \u201creally influenced\u201d him to \u201cget on this antisemite vibe\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nIt prompted Cube to immediately take to Twitter to rubbish Kanye\u2019s claim \u2013 saying: \u201cI hate that my name was dragged into this \u2018Drunk Champs\u2019 bulls***. I don\u2019t know what Ye meant by his statements, you\u2019re gonna have to ask him. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI didn\u2019t put the batteries in his back. Please leave my name out of all the antisemitic talk. I\u2019m not antisemitic and never have been.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nCube stressed he and Kanye are now \u201ccool\u201d with each other, but he still hated the fact Kanye did not explain \u201cwhat he meant\u201d with his comment linking him to his anti-Semitism, adding: \u201cI had to rebut that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
