I wanna do bad things with you! True Blood<\/em><\/a> hooked fans in with its dark depiction of vampire life in Bon Temps, Louisiana, in 2008, and its pull is still felt by many of the show\u2019s fans today.<\/p>\n From 2008 to 2014, viewers tuned in to see telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin<\/strong><\/a>) attempt to bridge the gap between the town\u2019s residents and vampire population. She proved that humans could live with supernatural beings based on her continued friendship with Tara (Rutina Wesley<\/strong><\/a>) after she turned \u2014 and through her own vampire love triangle<\/a>.<\/p>\n As Sookie juggled Civil War vampire<\/a> Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer<\/strong><\/a>) and his longtime foe Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard<\/strong><\/a>), her police officer brother, Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten<\/strong><\/a>), found himself getting into trouble for his \u201cfangbanger\u201d reputation.<\/p>\n His womanizing ways broke up his best friend Hoyt\u2019s (Jim Parrack<\/strong><\/a>) relationship with \u201cbaby vamp\u201d Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll<\/strong><\/a>) and caused a lot of drama with televangelist Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n The series, which lasted seven seasons on HBO<\/a>, was based on the best-selling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.<\/strong><\/p>\n Throughout its run, fans met other supernatural creatures including werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello<\/strong><\/a>) and medium Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis<\/a>). While many townspeople were turned into vampires, some humans managed to come out unscathed, like Arlene (Carrie Preston<\/strong><\/a>). Her husband Terry, (Todd Lowe<\/strong><\/a>), wasn\u2019t as lucky.<\/p>\n No matter what their fate was onscreen, the cast of the drama became tightknit and had a hard time saying goodbye to the show.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was unbelievably emotional,\u201d Skarsgard told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> exclusively in August 2014. \u201cThat show has been such a huge part of my life. I\u2019ve met some really good friends on that set, and there is no doubt that they will remain close friends forever.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cThere\u2019s something about going to a location like that and just having these people as your family, and their families as your family. The last scene I filmed, I was just trying to take it all in and I started crying.\u201d<\/p>\n HBO confirmed in February 2021 that a reboot was in development with Riverdale<\/em> showrunner Robert Aguirre-Sacasa<\/strong> and NOS4A2<\/em> creator Jami O\u2019Brien<\/strong> cowriting.
