Shane Gillis<\/strong><\/a> is facing criticism for jokes he made during his latest Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/strong><\/a> appearance.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old comedian returned to host the NBC<\/strong><\/a> sketch comedy series on Saturday (October 10), with Rosal\u00eda<\/strong><\/a> serving as the musical guest.<\/p>\n

During his opening monologue, Shane<\/strong> joked about trying to get back into shape and feeling uncomfortable at public gyms.<\/p>\n

While discussing the clothing women wear to work out, he made a remark that drew groans from the studio audience.<\/p>\n

“Also, I haven’t been to the gym in so long I didn’t know women just dress like whores now?” he said.<\/p>\n

Shane<\/strong> continued the joke by describing the tight-fitting shorts he has seen women wearing at the gym. He also joked about being told not to stare, especially because people might be recording videos for social media.<\/p>\n

“I’m in the background of like 10 TikToks right now,” he joked.<\/p>\n

The remarks prompted criticism from viewers online, with some calling the jokes sexist and questioning why SNL<\/em> brought Shane<\/strong> back as a host.<\/p>\n

Some viewers took to social media to criticize Shane<\/strong>‘s comments, with one X user calling the monologue “offensive and not funny.” Another viewer questioned why women were being criticized for their gym clothing when men often work out wearing very little themselves.<\/p>\n

In the wake of the Cornell case, it would be have been better if #SNL<\/a> guest host Shane Gillis had found other humor topics besides his view that women now dress like whores and his sisters are "big fat bitches".<\/p>\n

The comedian also joked about gay men at the gym and compared his receding hairline to Adolf Hitler<\/strong>‘s hairstyle.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll tell you the thing that I\u2019m really bothered by is: I\u2019ve balded directly into an Adolf Hitler<\/strong> haircut,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

“There\u2019s no way to adjust it without looking exactly like [Hitler<\/strong>]. It\u2019s the only way. I\u2019m not going to [brush it to the side], that\u2019s gay, he continued.<\/p>\n

He ended the monologue by joking, “You’re either gay or you’re Hitler<\/strong>, and isn’t that where we’re at as a country?” The joke received few laughs from the studio audience.<\/p>\n

Shane<\/strong> previously made headlines when he was fired<\/a> from SNL<\/em> in 2019 shortly after joining the cast. The decision came after past podcast clips resurfaced featuring racist and homophobic remarks.<\/a><\/p>\n

He later returned to host the show in February 2024 and March 2025 before his latest appearance.<\/p>\n

Saturday’s episode also featured another headline-making moment when Shane<\/strong> accidentally cursed<\/a> during a live sketch inspired by Green Eggs and Ham.<\/p>\n

He briefly broke character after realizing what he had said and later apologized for the mistake.<\/p>\n
