Carson Kressley<\/strong><\/a> is looking back on sharing a cherished moment with the late Dolly Parton<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Appearing on the Thursday, October 8 episode<\/a> of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen<\/em>, Kressley, 56, was asked what it was like presenting an award with the iconic singer at the CMT Flameworthy Awards in 2004.<\/p>\n \u201cI had never met her before,\u201d Kressley responded, adding, \u201cI think Queer Eye<\/em> was at its peak, they invited me to the CMT Flameworthy Awards which is so random and I had all the Western-wear.\u201d<\/p>\n Kressley recalled that he opted to wear the themed attire onstage as \u201can homage to Dolly\u201d and went on to praise the \u201cJolene\u201d singer.<\/p>\n \u201cThen they brought her in and you know, just the most genuine, angelic and immediately we just bonded and had a great chit-chat and we hung out and she was\u2026 it wasn\u2019t a quick meet and greet and leave,\u201d he shared. \u201cWe got to hang out and I was so nervous doing that bit with her on-stage. And I think I did flub it, because you know, it\u2019s Dolly. She was phenomenal.\u201d<\/p>\n Kressley comments on WWHL <\/em>come after the TV personality honored Parton<\/a>, who died in August, by sharing a selfie taken on the awards night via his Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI should have posted this yesterday on 9\/25 \u2013 Dolly Day.\u00a0 Missing her but happy I got to know her !\u201d Kressley wrote on September 26.<\/p>\n You have successfully subscribed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n He added \u201cSorry it\u2019s blurry, it\u2019s been in a frame for 20 years and I didn\u2019t want to take it out for fear of ruining it \u2013 it\u2019s a Polaroid from the very first time we met in 2004 I think. CMT was doing an awards show called the Flameworthies and Dolly and I presented a category together.\u00a0 What a joy, honor and a thrill that was!\u201d<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
