Ben Affleck has opened up on co-parenting with Jennifer Garner<\/p>\n
The Gone Girl star, who got divorced from his ex-wife in 2018 after 13 years together, has kids children Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14, with the 54-year-old Alias actress.<\/p>\n
He told Variety: “You know, I have nothing salacious or all that interesting in my life. I work hard, and then I go home and pick up the kids from school.<\/p>\n
“We have dinner if they agree to hang out with me. They\u2019re with me for a week, then with their mom for a week. They have a great thing with their mom, for whom I\u2019m also really, really grateful.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
“I know things will come up that are hard, and I don\u2019t want to jinx that, but this time in my life as a human being is really wonderful.”<\/p>\n
\nBen, 54, also explained why he wants to stay based in Los Angeles for work, rather than travelling the world.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “I\u2019m divorced, I have shared custody, and I don\u2019t want to miss these years. My kids are here, and their life is flying by.<\/p>\n
\n“I don\u2019t want to have to be in Shreveport or New Mexico in order to work. I know some people don\u2019t have the luxury of making those choices.<\/p>\n
\n“I\u2019m certainly fortunate, but I know from experience that the best crews in the world are in LA.”<\/p>\n
\nBen recently insisted striking up romances is not a “big priority in my life” right now following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, as he is focused on work and being present for his and Garner’s children.<\/p>\n
\nHe told Entertainment Tonight: “I work a lot, and I see my kids, and there’s not a lot of room. I\u2019m not running around.”<\/p>\n
\nBen insists he is in a “good place” since he and Lopez, 57, finalised their divorce in January 2025 after two years of marriage.<\/p>\n
\nThe Good Will Hunting star added: “I\u2019m good and I\u2019m happy. I know what my priorities are. You can\u2019t have two things that are the most important in your life.<\/p>\n
\n“For me that\u2019s the kids. So that’s what that is. And then I have my work, which I love. And, you know, I\u2019m where I\u2019m at, and I\u2019m great.<\/p>\n
\n“Who knows what adventures life will bring? I\u2019m open to it, but I\u2019m not trying to chase anything.\u201d<\/p>\n
