\u201cSo I go up to Heather and I\u2019m like, \u2018Hey, do you remember, we worked together\u2026\u2019 And Heather was kind of awkward and she was like, \u2018Yeah, no, I don\u2019t remember.\u2019<\/p>\n
\n“Mandy was next to [Heather] and Mandy kind of did this, like [condescending laugh]. I was so hurt by it. I was like, \u2018Mandy\u2019s a mean girl!\u2019 I didn\u2019t know what to make of it, but I did crash that party, man.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Christy was actually meant to audition for the leading role of Mia in the beloved film but her Even Stevens commitments meant she wasn’t available.<\/p>\n
\nBack in 2021, she said on her YouTube channel: “It is almost time for me to leave to go get ready for the audition, and I get called in by the producers and they say, ‘Christy, we don’t have time for you to go to the audition today’.<\/p>\n
\n“At the time, you couldn’t just put yourself on tape\u2026 so if you didn’t show up for the audition, chances are you weren’t gonna get an opportunity. And this was a big one.”<\/p>\n
\nChristy admitted she missed out on a “big chance” by not making the audition, and it was one she wanted to do “so badly”.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “I don’t know why, but I just knew it could be a big deal for me. I didn’t get that audition.<\/p>\n
\n“I didn’t get to go because we had to film overtime or something like that. So, sadly, I never got my shot at that.”<\/p>\n
\nShe believes it “would have made [her] career” if she landed the role, with the movie spawning a 2004 sequel – plus a third in the pipeline – and transforming Anne Hathaway into a Hollywood megastar.<\/p>\n
\nChristy said: “[That] isn’t to say that [Hathaway] wasn’t the right person for the role. She’s amazing. She was so cute in it, and so charming.”<\/p>\n
