Tyler Cameron<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about his emotional Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> journey with partner Sharna Burgess.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI had no idea dance and this partnership would bring that much into me,\u201d Cameron, 33, exclusively told Us<\/em> after the Tuesday, October 6, Mariah Carey Night episode<\/a>. \u201cIt has really just made me feel so much more alive, so much more just in tap with things that I haven\u2019t felt in so long.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cameron noted that dance is \u201cabout expression\u201d and \u201cputting yourself out there,\u201d which he finds himself \u201calmost fully\u201d doing in the competition.<\/p>\n

\u201cDance is helping me [get] closer and closer to doing that,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s performing. It\u2019s letting go and cutting loose and things that you kind of just hide as a guy your whole life, I feel like. And this has been such an incredible experience to learn that, and hopefully, when I have kids one day, I can show this to them, and you can perform, you can feel whatever you want to feel and put that off.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTyler Cameron\u2018s Off Campus-inspired routine on Dancing With the Stars couldn\u2019t have been possible without his fianc\u00e9e, Tate Madden. \u201cTate was the one who\u2019s like, \u2018More hips, hotter face.\u2019 Like, she\u2019s the one coaching it up,\u201d Cameron, 33, quipped while speaking to Us exclusively after his Viral Hits Night performance on Tuesday, September 22. \u201c[She [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After Cameron and Burgess, 41, performed a Foxtrot to \u201c#Beautiful,\u201d<\/a> the pair received praise \u2014 and support \u2014 from the judges after the Bachelor Nation alum spoke candidly about the death of his mom, Andrea<\/strong>, in 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mom would be kicking and screaming and yelling<\/a>. She\u2019d be thrilled,\u201d Cameron told Us<\/em>, while Burgess added, \u201cThem [getting] emotional at the judges\u2019 table was making me emotional, and then it was just an emotional thing. I\u2019m just so proud of you, and I\u2019m so glad we got to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
