Drake has officially released “Classic PT2,” expanding on one of the tracks from his HABIBTI album.

The song first surfaced during Drake‘s Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) project in September before finally arriving on streaming as part of HABIBTI (FOMO).

“Classic PT2” joins “Solar Eclipse,” “Quebec” and “Cold Shoulder” among the newly released tracks from the project.

As the title suggests, the song is directly connected to Drake‘s earlier track “Classic.”

What Is Drake’s “Classic PT2” About?

“Classic PT2” finds Drake pursuing a woman who appears to already be involved with someone else.

At the beginning of the song, he starts to bring up something he has heard about her past before deciding that it doesn’t matter to him.

Instead, Drake focuses on wanting to spend time alone with her and repeatedly questions whether he should continue waiting around.

“I just want you and me to go somewhere,” he says.

The chorus makes the situation even clearer, with Drake suggesting that the woman’s current partner does not love her while asking her to leave everyone else behind and meet him.

“Your man doesn’t love you so let me know if I should stick around,” Drake declares.

The song ultimately centers on attraction and the frustration of repeatedly ending up around someone who drives him crazy without knowing whether the relationship will actually go anywhere.

Why Is It Called “Classic PT2”?

The title is literal: “Classic PT2” is a continuation of Drake‘s song “Classic,” which originally appeared on HABIBTI earlier in 2026.

The new version expands on the original song’s romantic premise.

Both versions also share an important piece of musical DNA: “Classic” and “Classic PT2” sample Jus’ Cauze‘s 1991 R&B track “Don’t Beat Around the Bush.”

What Song Does “Classic PT2” Sample?

“Classic PT2” samples “Don’t Beat Around the Bush” by Jus’ Cauze, an R&B duo made up of Ricky McNeal and Darin Smith.

The song was originally released in 1991 and also serves as the sample at the heart of Drake‘s first version of “Classic.”

That explains why Ricky McNeal and Darin Smith appear among the songwriting credits on “Classic PT2.”

Who Wrote & Produced “Classic PT2”?

According to the song’s credits, “Classic PT2” was written by Drake, Smash David, SkipOnDaBeat, Foreign Teck, 5EBAS, apmelodies, Hugo Mari, BEAM, Noel Cadastre, Darin Smith and Ricky McNeal.
