Big Brother<\/i><\/a><\/span> host Julie Chen Moonves<\/span><\/a><\/strong> has had a change of heart after being critical of houseguest Rick Devens<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u2019 gameplay.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like him. You can\u2019t not like Rick Devens, so I\u2019ve been humbled,\u201d Chen Moonves, 56, exclusively shared with Us<\/i> before the Thursday, October 1, finale of CBS\u2019 hit reality show. \u201cLook, no one can be a performative phony for 87 days straight, especially in a show like Big Brother<\/i> with the live feeds. You can\u2019t be a phony for that long. He\u2019s someone who it\u2019s very easy to root for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Big Brother 28<\/i> kicked off in July, Chen Moonves was not the biggest cheerleader<\/span><\/a> for Devens, 42, who previously competed on seasons 38 and 50 of Survivor<\/i><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know people love Devens, and he was great at Survivor<\/i>,\u201d she shared with Entertainment Weekly<\/i> at the time. \u201cThis ain\u2019t Survivor<\/i>, honey. This here [is] Big Brother<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chen Moonves called some of Devens\u2019 early moves \u201cterrible\u201d before adding, \u201cI was like, \u2018Go back to the island, dude! I\u2019m gonna snuff out your flame.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Now that Devens is in the final three with Taylor Brown<\/strong> and Drew Campbell<\/strong>, Chen Moonves is happy to give credit where credit is due.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been working it out between me and Jesus, and he\u2019s telling me, \u2018Love one another,\u2019 and he\u2019s telling me, \u2018Thou shalt not judge,\u2019 and I think he\u2019s teaching me a lesson for that reason. I think God is going to say, \u2018All right, we\u2019ve got to have Rick Devens win it,\u2019\u201d Chen Moonves told Us<\/em>. \u201cDon\u2019t forget he\u2019s older. He has a wife. He has two little kids. They were rooting for him. You want a guy to be able to provide for his family. \u2026 We\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before the Big Brother<\/i> jury casts their votes on Thursday evening, Chen Moonves is proud of the final three for making it so far in an always unpredictable game.<\/p>\n

After having a front-row seat to all the shocking evictions and unexpected moves, the host of summer\u2019s addictive reality show doesn\u2019t even know who could win the $750,000 cash prize.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have butterflies in my stomach,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s anyone\u2019s game. I\u2019m so excited, and I\u2019m happy no matter who wins because I\u2019m very happy with this final three.\u201d<\/p>\n

After this season of Big Brother<\/i> featured two former Survivor<\/i> contestants (Dee Valladares<\/strong> also competed), Us<\/em> asked Chen Moonves whether any other players should be sent to Fiji to experience host Jeff Probst<\/strong>\u2019s popular CBS show.<\/p>\n
