Kristi Noem<\/strong>\u2019s estranged husband, Bryon Noem<\/strong>, is speaking out after the former Secretary of Homeland Security filed for divorce<\/a> in the wake of his public \u201cbimbo\u201d scandal.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cBryon is saddened that the marriage is ending and hopes for a private and amicable resolution,\u201d Bryon\u2019s attorney, Tim Bottum<\/strong>, said in a statement to TMZ<\/em> <\/a>published on Wednesday, September 30. \u201cIf court proceedings become necessary, Bryon will welcome the opportunity to truthfully share his perspective.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bottom continued in the reported statement, \u201cBryon\u2019s priority is to protect the family and move forward as loving parents and grandparents.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us<\/em> also reached out to Bryon\u2019s legal counsel for comment regarding the divorce but did not hear back at the time of publication.<\/p>\n

According to court documents obtained by Us<\/em> on Tuesday, September 29, the former South Dakota governor, 54, filed paperwork to dissolve her marriage on April 6 in South Dakota\u2019s Hamlin County. (Us<\/em> reached out to Kristi\u2019s lawyer and Bryon at the time for comment but did not hear back.)<\/p>\n

She cited \u201cirreconcilable differences\u201d as the reason for the split following her estranged husband\u2019s highly publicized \u201cbimbo\u201d scandal.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Bryon made headlines after he was accused of living a double life amid his estranged wife\u2019s publicly scrutinized relationship with former Donald Trump<\/strong> <\/a>campaign manager Corey Lewandowski<\/strong><\/a>. In March, the Daily Mail<\/em> published alleged photos of Bryon appearing to wear fake breasts<\/a>, claiming Byron allegedly paid to speak to models in the \u201cbimbofication\u201d scene via online forums. (Bimbofication refers to individuals who have undergone surgical enhancements in an effort to look more doll-like.)<\/p>\n

In the alleged photos, Bryon appeared to be dressed in pink hot pants while reportedly wearing fake breasts that appeared to be made of balloons. Per the outlet, Bryon reportedly paid $25,000 to chat with online models<\/a> in the \u201cbimbofication\u201d scene.<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, Bryon allegedly sent a message to one model in which he expressed his love for \u201chuge, huge ridiculous boobs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after the alleged photos were made public, Kristi broke her silence on the scandal.<\/p>\n

\u201cMs. Noem is devastated,\u201d a spokesperson for the former United States Secretary of Homeland Security said in a statement to the New York Post on March 31. \u201cThe family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time.\u201d<\/p>\n
