Bethenny Frankel<\/a> is “not exactly” on cordial terms with ex-husband Jason Hoppy.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Bethenny Frankel has discussed her relationship with her ex<\/p>\n
The 55-year-old TV star was married to Jason between 2010 and 2021, and she admits that they still have an uneasy relationship after their acrimonious split.<\/p>\n
Appearing on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, Bethenny quipped: “We do coexist on this earth. We do both exist on this earth, so that\u2019s positive. It\u2019s been a strained year, it\u2019s been a challenging year.”<\/p>\n
The former couple welcomed daughter Bryn in 2010, before splitting in 2012.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
However, it took years for Bethenny and Jason to finalise the terms of their divorce.<\/p>\n
\nShe shared: “There were a lot of circumstances that have been, that are \u2026 torture, like, traumatic. Like, 10 years [in court for] a two-year marriage and, like, every single branch on the tree [has been affected].”<\/p>\n
\nBethenny also opened up about her relationship with Bryn, whom she considers to be one of her best friends.<\/p>\n
\nThe TV star said: “When you parent, it\u2019s not like you parent and it happens passively. You take long drives, you hang out, you go to dinner.<\/p>\n
\n“Parents are very transactional and, like, we have the meal and then we drive; it has to flow. I love her so much, [she\u2019s] the best.<\/p>\n
\n“When we vibe and we are watching something and we\u2019re laughing, we connect, but sometimes we\u2019re on different paths. We\u2019re very much like Thelma and Louise, [and] we are like roommates in a way.”<\/p>\n
\nBethenny has a roommate-like relationship with her daughter.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “We are very connected and we love to be together and we respect each other\u2019s space and what we\u2019re both going through and doing.<\/p>\n
\n“That\u2019s why it feels almost like a roommate in a way. We\u2019re in totally different chapters of our lives, obviously, and we respect each other\u2019s chapters.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Bethenny previously confessed that she’s “afraid” to date.<\/p>\n
\nThe Real Housewives of New York City star – who has been married twice and was engaged to Paul Bernon for three years until May 2024 – said in a TikTok video: “I’m afraid to date. It’s not like I’m actually actively afraid. It’s like, I am so hesitant, because you know how, like, when you get food poisoning, you’re just scared to eat that food again, even though rationally you know that, like, you’re likely not gonna get food poisoning again from that same food, but you just can’t bring yourself to do it?”<\/p>\n
