Billy Joel<\/strong><\/a> is reassuring fans about his health following his normal pressure hydrocephalus diagnosis (NPH).<\/a><\/p>\n

The 77-year-old “Piano Man” singer opened up about how he’s currently doing while speaking with a fan during his first-ever live call-in show on SiriusXM’s The Billy Joel Channel<\/em>.<\/p>\n

After the caller told Billy<\/strong> she was glad to hear that he was doing well, he acknowledged that fans have been concerned about his health.<\/p>\n

“Yeah, I am. I know people are worried about me because they read that I have a brain disorder, which sounds a lot worse than it actually is,” Billy<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n

“I’m okay. My balance isn’t that good. Lost a little bit of my hearing, but that may have to do with my age, too, and the rock and roll life and the loud volume probably didn’t help,” he continued.<\/p>\n

However, Billy<\/strong> emphasized that fans shouldn’t be overly concerned about him.<\/p>\n

“I’m fine. I want people to not have to worry about me. I’m okay,” he said.<\/p>\n

The health update came during “Questions and Answers… With a Little Music Too,” Billy<\/strong>‘s first-ever live call-in show, which aired on The Billy Joel Channel<\/a> on September 24.<\/p>\n

Billy<\/strong> was diagnosed with NPH in 2025.<\/a> At the time, it was announced that the condition had caused problems with his hearing, vision and balance and that he would undergo physical therapy.<\/p>\n

He subsequently canceled all of his scheduled concerts while prioritizing his recovery.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Billy<\/strong> revealed that he underwent surgery<\/a> to have a shunt placed in his brain to help treat the condition.<\/p>\n

During another recent health update, Billy<\/strong> similarly reassured fans, saying, “Don’t worry about me, I’m not going anywhere. I’m here. I’m still here.”<\/p>\n
