Changing the game? Sister Wives<\/em><\/a> star Paedon Brown<\/strong><\/a> claimed his father, Kody Brown<\/strong><\/a>, wanted TLC to enforce a rule preventing his children from speaking negatively about him<\/a> outside the show.<\/p>\n The 24-year-old opened up about his experience in the plural family<\/a> during an interview with YouTuber John Yates<\/strong><\/a> on Wednesday, January 11, recalling an \u201cout of the blue\u201d phone call from Kody, 53, after months of not talking. \u201cIt\u2019s like an hour-long conversation and it goes really, really well,\u201d Paedon said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m like, \u2018OK, I might be getting my father back. This is wonderful.’\u201d<\/p>\n When Paedon informed his mother, Christine Brown<\/strong><\/a>, about the phone call, she allegedly told her son<\/a> that the conversation wasn\u2019t so \u201cspontaneous.\u201d (Along with Paedon, the 50-year-old Utah native shares daughters Aspyn, 27, Mykelti, 26, Gwendlyn, 21, Ysabel, 19, and Truely, 12.)<\/p>\n \u201cApparently he was trying to convince the \u2026 high-ups [at] TLC and [was] trying to discuss with them [and] trying to put it in our contracts that we are not allowed to say anything negative about him on our platforms,\u201d Paedon claimed. \u201cAnd he\u2019s fighting with [my] mom about it because [my] mom is saying, \u2018You can\u2019t control our children that way.\u2019 He\u2019s trying to say, \u2018Your children can\u2019t say anything bad about me.’\u201d<\/p>\n According to the National Guardsman, Kody didn\u2019t want his kids to be able to say anything that \u201churts his image.\u201d<\/a> Christine and the network, however, weren\u2019t on board.<\/p>\n \u201cTLC was like, \u2018I don\u2019t think we should do that,’\u201d Paedon alleged. \u201cAnd my mom was fighting. My mom was like, \u2018No, you\u2019re not allowed to tell our children what they can and can\u2019t say about you. You have to earn their love back.\u2019 \u2026 He doesn\u2019t want us talking negatively about him online.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality star guessed that Kody also called Aspyn, Mykelti and Ysabel \u201cafter losing a battle\u201d with Christine. \u201cHe just happens to call us, and I realized he didn\u2019t call me because he wanted to talk to me,\u201d Paedon continued. \u201cHe called me because he doesn\u2019t want me talking negatively.\u201d<\/p>\n Paedon\u2019s parents shocked Sister Wives<\/em> fans<\/a> when they announced their split in November 2021<\/a> after more than 20 years together. The aftermath of their breakup played out during season 17 of the TLC series, which aired the final part of its tell-all special<\/a> earlier this month.<\/p>\n During the Sister Wives: One-on-One<\/em><\/a> finale on Sunday, January 8, Kody claimed that he wished Christine the best as she moved on. (Kody is still legally married to Robyn Brown<\/strong><\/a>, but Meri Brown<\/strong><\/a> and Janelle Brown<\/strong><\/a> pulled the plug on their spiritual unions with the patriarch.)<\/p>\n \u201cOne of the kids told me, \u2018Dad, Mom says you have your soulmate and she wants hers,’\u201d Kody said on Sunday. \u201cI hope [Christine] finds her soulmate<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
