After returning to ABC with a role on RJ Decker<\/em>, former Dancing With the Stars<\/em> <\/a>contestant Elaine Hendrix<\/strong><\/a> broke down her shocking story line.<\/p>\n

The Tuesday, September 29, episode of the show picked up with Emi (Jaina Lee Ortiz<\/strong>) being accused of dad Victor\u2019s (David Zayas<\/strong>) murder. RJ (Scott Speedman<\/strong>) tried to solve the case by finding who was actually responsible \u2014 and that turned out to be Hendrix\u2019s character District Attorney Lake.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew going into it what was happening,\u201d Hendrix, 55, exclusively told Us<\/em> about the major reveal. \u201cBut I only had the first episode, which just sort of teased me. I love that it got so complicated with twists and turns.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hendrix enjoyed the challenge<\/a>, adding, \u201cI do want to say in my defense, I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever played a murdereress. I am known for \u2014 and I think my specialty is playing duplicitous characters. So I do hope, though, that there are at least some people out there who are like, \u2018No, she didn\u2019t do it. It would be too obvious. No, she did do it because it is her.’\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cI hope that there was a debate going \u2014 especially as the episode goes. Because when I watched it, I thought I made a very convincing case that I really didn\u2019t do it. I\u2019m always honored when I get to play very special roles. So the fact that this was tied to such a huge ending, I was very honored to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite District Attorney Lake getting arrested, Hendrix could see herself<\/a> coming back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m getting that a lot and I got that on set as well. She\u2019s got to have some kind of information that R.J. is gonna need and visit her in prison at some point,\u201d she said. \u201cListen, I\u2019ve signed up for two episodes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hendrix\u2019s appearance on RJ Decker<\/em> came one week after pros Jenna Johnson<\/strong> and Val Chmerkovskiy<\/strong> performed<\/a> in the season 2 premiere \u2014 while season 33 winner Joey Graziadei<\/strong> appeared in a scripted role.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was very happy with this role. I would have much rather have done this and let the pros shine in their dance spot,\u201d Hendrix told Us. \u201cBut when I first got there, everyone was like, \u2018Well we have the dancers coming in to film.\u2019 I was like, \u2018No one told me that. That\u2019s so fun.\u2019 So I just, I love that they\u2019re like keeping it in the family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Hendrix pitched a return that would be DWTS<\/em>-themed, adding, \u201cRJ has some fever dream where Janice is killing people while she\u2019s dancing and it\u2019s a tango.\u201d<\/p>\n
