Megan Thee Stallion<\/a> is still “in shock” following her split from Klay Thompson.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Megan Thee Stallion has reflected on her break-up<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old rapper and Klay, 36, announced their split in April, and Megan has now opened up about their break-up.<\/p>\n
Asked about her heartbreak, Megan told Marie Claire: “I\u2019m not pretending I\u2019m 100 percent okay.<\/p>\n
“I ain\u2019t never been through nothing like that in my whole life. I\u2019ve never, ever, ever been in a relationship like that, ever. So I\u2019m definitely not worried about another one for a long time.”<\/p>\n

Despite this, Megan acknowledged that she’s still coming to terms with the loss.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “It was so abrupt. I\u2019m in shock still.”<\/p>\n
\nMegan explained that she’s content being single at the moment.<\/p>\n
\nThe chart-topping rap star explained: “When something is meant for you, it\u2019s gonna be easy. It\u2019s gonna be right. <\/p>\n
\n“It\u2019s not gonna feel like a panic all the time. I feel like that\u2019s what I was in, constantly on edge. My nervous system needed to calm down. I feel like I was in a panic 24\/7. I\u2019m still not eating all the way right. I\u2019m feeling all the feelings. I\u2019m not trying to take no shortcuts.”<\/p>\n
\nMegan has learned to listen to her gut, too.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “Sometimes I be knowing in my gut and in my heart, then you give so much benefit of the doubt. No, the gut is always right. Listen.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Nneka Onuorah previously hailed Megan as the “definition of strength”.<\/p>\n
\nThe director helmed the rap star’s Prime Video documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, and Nneka subsequently praised the “resilience” of the Mamushi hitmaker.<\/p>\n
\nNneka told TIME: “Most of us say we’re strong, but we’ve never had millions of people every day lying on us, saying negative things about us.<\/p>\n
\n“I commend Megan for her resilience throughout this process to still come out on top. She truly is the definition of strength to me.”<\/p>\n
\nMegan was shot in the foot by rapper Tory Lanez in July 2020, and she opened up about her struggles in the documentary.<\/p>\n
\nNneka said: “This film is Megan’s open book into her heart during one of the hardest times of her life.<\/p>\n
\n“It highlights how grief and depression can take a toll on your life and your experiences. There\u2019s so much grief in the world right now, which is why I feel like this story is so relatable.”<\/p>\n
