Perez Hilton<\/strong><\/a> has been able to reunite with his three children and mother as he continues treatment in a residential treatment facility.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday afternoon (September 29), his family shared a new update about his health on his official website and blog<\/a>, revealing that Perez<\/strong> has been able to reconnect with his family through video calls and short, supervised visits.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeeing his children in person has meant an enormous amount to Perez<\/strong>. There have definitely been a lot of emotions for everyone, but being able to spend that time together has been incredibly meaningful and healing,” per the status update.<\/p>\n

At this time, communications are remaining limited as he continues undergoing treatment, with focus on recognizing warning signs to help him better cope with “everything that bought him to this point.”<\/p>\n

The blog post continued, “At the moment, we still don\u2019t have a timeline for when Perez will leave residential treatment or when he\u2019ll be able to return home.”<\/p>\n

His family emphasized they don’t want to rush and are taking things slowly, “one day at a time.”<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been about two weeks since our last update on Perez<\/strong>, and we wanted to share a little bit about where things stand.<\/p>\n

First, we want to thank Perez<\/strong>\u2019s longtime friend Tom D\u2019Angora<\/strong> again for setting up the GoFundMe<\/a> to help Perez\u2019s mom continue to care for his three children during this time. We also want to thank everyone who has donated, sent messages, and continued to send well wishes. Perez<\/strong>\u2019s mom has been incredibly touched and honestly overwhelmed by everyone\u2019s generosity. It\u2019s meant so much to her and to the kids.<\/p>\n

As for Perez<\/strong>, he remains in residential treatment, where the focus continues to be on his mental health and recovery.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re very happy to share that over the past few weeks, Perez<\/strong> has been able to reconnect with his children and his mom.<\/p>\n

They were first able to spend time together through a few video calls, and since then, Perez<\/strong> has also been able to see his children and his mom a few times for short, supervised visits at the facility.<\/p>\n

Seeing his children in person has meant an enormous amount to Perez<\/strong>. There have definitely been a lot of emotions for everyone, but being able to spend that time together has been incredibly meaningful and healing.<\/p>\n

Communication with Perez<\/strong> is still limited, and we\u2019re not able to talk to him daily. While that\u2019s hard for us and for him, we understand that right now the priority isn\u2019t constant communication with family, but rather giving him the time and space to focus on his care and continue making progress.<\/p>\n

At the moment, we still don\u2019t have a timeline for when Perez<\/strong> will leave residential treatment or when he\u2019ll be able to return home.<\/p>\n

This is all still very new to us. We\u2019re listening to the doctors, psychiatrists, therapists, and everyone involved in his care, and trusting their guidance on what Perez<\/strong> needs and when he\u2019s ready for each next step. Nobody wants to rush anything. For now, we\u2019re all taking things one day at a time.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re grateful for the progress Perez<\/strong> has made so far, and especially grateful that he and his children have been able to spend some time together again.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s continuing to work with his care team on understanding what led to his mental health crisis, recognizing warning signs, learning better ways to cope, and working through everything that brought him to this point.<\/p>\n
