Colman Domingo<\/strong><\/a> revealed he questions the validity of complaints about the environment on Euphoria<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Domingo, 56, was recently asked by Vanity Fair<\/em> <\/a>about whether he played a key role in bringing the cast and crew together<\/a> amid reports of tension on set, to which he replied, \u201cThere could be some truth to that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor reflected on being a \u201cvery pragmatic\u201d person.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I can talk to producers, I can talk to directors, actors and find out what people need and get away from the noise of things,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019m not interested in the noise of it; I\u2019m interested in the creative solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Domingo expressed frustration with how outlets \u2014 including Vanity Fair<\/em> \u2014 reported on alleged tension on creator Sam Levinson<\/strong>\u2019s set.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so funny to me, because I feel like my whole experience on Euphoria has been extraordinarily positive and collaborative,\u201d he noted. \u201cSo when I hear that there was trouble, to be honest, I feel like a lot of people aren\u2019t telling the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cOf course, we all have our information because we talk to our colleagues and everything. And I don\u2019t think people have always been honest about their experience. I think that sometimes people will use it for their own worth in some way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Domingo acknowledged that filming the third and final season<\/a> was tough. \u201cI\u2019ve done harder work on Fear the Walking Dead,\u201d he said about the AMC series, on which he appeared from 2015 to 2023. \u201c[That set] was, like, 16-hour days in the mud and filth. And Sam Levinson is one of the most beautiful creatives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Domingo praised Levinson\u2019s work ethic, saying, \u201cHe really is one of the kindest souls that anyone would ever meet. Listen, I\u2019ve been working so long. The role of Ali was created for me. And I\u2019ve been given the most complex arc that I\u2019ve ever been given on any television show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before speaking with Domingo, Vanity Fair<\/em> reported earlier this year that the delays on Euphoria<\/em>\u2018s third season had created issues behind the scenes. The hit HBO show, which premiered in 2019, originally followed troubled high school student Rue (Zendaya) as she struggled to remain sober after rehab.<\/p>\n

Euphoria was quickly renewed for a second season after its premiere, but it took nearly three years for the episodes to air. Season 3 was originally set to air on HBO in 2025 before facing several obstacles, including Levinson\u2019s commitment to his short-lived series The Idol. The dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which took place in late 2023, prolonged the delay.<\/p>\n
