Emily Blunt won’t be off screen for too long<\/p>\n
The ‘Oppenheimer’ actress – who has daughters Hazel, nine, and Violet, seven, with husband and fellow actor John Krasinski – recently caused a stir when she said she was taking a break from her career to be with her family, but she’s now clarified she’s simply taking a temporary break and will return to acting in a few months time.<\/p>\n
She told Deadline: \u201cHonestly, that story got so overblown. I\u2019m just taking a little downtime, not quitting Hollywood. I was just taking some months off to be with the kids.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ‘Jungle Cruise’ star had explained she wanted to spend more time at home to be with her kids for the tiny moments that are “so important” while they are still young.<\/p>\n
Appearing on iHeartPodcast’s ‘Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi’, she said: “This year, I’m not working.<\/p>\n
\n“I worked quite a bit last year, and my oldest baby is nine, so we’re in the last year of single digits.<\/p>\n
\n“I just feel there are cornerstones to their day that are so important when they’re little.<\/p>\n
\n“And it’s, \u2018Will you wake me up? Will you take me to school? Will you pick me up? Will you put me to bed?’<\/p>\n
\n“And I just need to be there for all of them for a good stretch. And I just felt that in my bones.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Emily recently admitted her “toes curl” whenever she hears about a child wanting to be a star because the industry is to “hard” to get into in the first place.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Harper’s Bazaar UK: “My toes curl when people tell me, \u2018My daughter wants to be an actress\u2019.<\/p>\n
\n“I want to say, \u2018Don\u2019t do it!\u2019 Because it\u2019s a hard industry and it can be very disappointing.<\/p>\n
\n“A lot of people tell you not to take things personally \u2013 but it\u2019s completely personal, especially when you\u2019re being judged on how you look. So you just have to endure that side of things.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
