Where others saw challenges, she saw possibilities, and she had a remarkable gift for bringing out the very best in everyone around her,\u201d Washington continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were married for four wonderful years, and she changed my life for the better in every possible way.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DSQ6HcugQQU\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>\u201cAngela leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, kindness, inspiration and a voice and spirit that will never be forgotten. A celebration of life will be held in Washington, D.C., date and venue to be announced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRest peacefully, my love. You will be missed more than words can ever say,\u201d Washington concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Journalist Ed Gordon, who worked with Stribling at BET paid tribute to his late colleague on Facebook:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo very sad to hear Angela Stribling has passed away,\u201d Gordon wrote (per <em><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/angela-stribling-dead-bet-personality-radio-host-dies-at-58-12143641\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">People<\/a><\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe worked together and became friends during our years at the network and remained friends once we both moved on to other opportunities,\u201d he continued, adding:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring our last conversation, she told me that she and her husband would be spending more time in D.C. after being out west for a number of years. My prayers and best go out to him and her other loved ones.
