After initially announcing his retirement in February 2022, Brady reversed course just weeks later and returned to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands,\u201d Brady wrote at the time. \u201cThat time will come. But it\u2019s not now.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DdwNfy-lbp9\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>According to Anderson\u2019s reporting, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2022\/03\/tom-brady-stuns-nfl-comes-out-of-retirement-im-not-done-winning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gisele had wanted Brady to step away from football<\/a>, and his decision to return to the NFL created additional strain at home.<\/p>\n<p>Things reportedly became so difficult that Gisele traveled to Costa Rica while Brady remained focused on football. The book describes the trip as a final attempt to repair their relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, people around Brady noticed a change in him.<\/p>\n<p>Former Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians reportedly observed that Brady had lost weight and appeared to be struggling with personal issues. Another coach, Clyde Christensen, recalled that Brady returned from his family vacation looking like an \u201cempty shell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was no joy. Everything was hard work,\u201d Christensen said, according to the book.<\/p>\n<p>By October 2022, the writing was apparently on the wall.<\/p>\n<p>Brady and Gisele announced their divorce on October 28, confirming that they had finalized the end of their marriage after 13 years together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have grown apart,\u201d Gisele wrote at the time, adding that she felt \u201cblessed for the time we had together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former couple shares two children, Benjamin and Vivian. Brady is also father to son Jack, whom he shares with Bridget Moynahan.<\/p>\n<p>Gisele has since moved on. She <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/10\/joaquim-valente-who-is-gisele-bundchens-boyfriend-and-baby-daddy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">married jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente<\/a> in December 2025, a few months after the couple welcomed their first child together.<\/p>\n<p>As for Brady?
