Jenna Johnson<\/strong><\/a> and Val Chmerkovskiy<\/strong><\/a> are the most recent Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> pros to weigh in on the discourse surrounding this season\u2019s surprisingly low scores.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s just because it\u2019s such a talented cast that people are hungry for higher scores,\u201d Johnson, 32, exclusively told Us<\/em> while discussing her and Chmerkovskiy\u2019s partnership with Fabuloso<\/a>, noting that there were still \u201ceight more weeks ahead\u201d for the pros and celebrity contestants<\/a>. \u201cWe kind of need to pace out the scores.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson could \u201csee where the judges are coming from,\u201d adding, \u201cI think something that [my partner] Harry [Shum Jr.] and I have just committed to each other is we want to respect and take what the judges have to say first and foremost. That\u2019s always going to be our priority.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite receiving numerical feedback from Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli <\/strong>and Derek Hough<\/strong>, Johnson is more focused on the notes they have offered about each performance.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDancing With the Stars makes the contestants work to climb the leaderboard \u2014 but some pairs have received remarkably low scores over the years. Dancing With the Stars debuted on ABC in 2005 as viewers tuned in week after week to see celebrities learn ballroom styles with professional dancers in an epic \u2014 and often [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cBut scores are just a number so [we try] not get so hung up on what that number is and that defines how you did or what you know what your week meant,\u201d she continued. \u201cSo I think always the feedback is the most important part for us of taking the critiques and implementing them. But I try not to get so hung up on a number between one and 10.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chmerkovskiy, 40, joked that he was only hung up if the score was a number<\/a> \u201cbetween four and seven,\u201d quipping, \u201cBut seven through 10 is great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dancing With the Stars<\/em>, which airs Tuesdays, has inspired a lot of debate on social media as viewers tune in each week to watch their favorite pairings face off in the ballroom. Chmerkovskiy and Johnson, for their part, are grateful for the chance to compete once again for the Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been such a beautiful experience being able to be partnered with Harry. He is a one of a kind human being,\u201d Johnson gushed. \u201cObviously, he\u2019s incredibly talented but he is working full time right now on Grey\u2019s Anatomy and juggling both. I just commend him so much. But he genuinely wants to do the show and he loves dance and he wants to be here. He\u2019s so inspired by the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cSo I think that one of my favorite parts so far is just seeing someone so hungry to be part of this experience and literally giving up all of his hours to do this. He is working so incredibly hard doing it so it has just been a blessing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chmerkovskiy has had a similar experience with his celebrity partner, Jenna Dewan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDancing With the Stars fans can get even more excited, because ABC just revealed the complete lineup of themes for season 35 following its two-night premiere. Season 34 alum Andy Richter\u00a0announced the full list on Friday, September 18, while hosting the \u201cOfficial DWTS Podcast.\u201d Just days earlier, the competition kicked off with the male and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI am very similar in the sense that Jenna is also working on The Rookie and she really has created some epic memories for herself in the space of dance,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. \u201cSo for her to come back and put herself out there like that and try something different \u2014 something new and something familiar but something completely different \u2014 and to really throw herself into that and trust the process and trust me \u2026 It\u2019s a beautiful thing. I just want to reciprocate.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Chmerkovskiy and Johnson are already booked and busy on DWTS<\/em>, they still found time to partner with Fabuloso to celebrate the brand\u2019s new \u201cMake Your World More Fabuloso\u201d campaign<\/a>. Timed to season 35 of DWTS, the campaign highlights how Fabuloso\u2019s fresh scents can transform everyday cleaning into a more joyful experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re very excited to be partnering with Fabuloso since we just moved. We\u2019re in a new home and we are also parents of a 3-year-old toddler so messes are just naturally part of our everyday life,\u201d Johnson explained. \u201cBut I\u2019m also severely OCD and a clean freak so having something that can just calm my nerves and my stress and being able to come home to a scent that just immediately breathes clean home and freshness is everything that I\u2019m looking for. It just felt like such an organic and natural fit for our family.\u201d<\/p>\n
