Kinberg has been attached to the project <a href=\"https:\/\/ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com\/129509834.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">since 2024<\/a>. THR reports that it appears to be an extension of the Skywalker saga, with Daisy Ridley expected to return as Rey in some capacity. Watts is best known for directing the first three Tom Holland <i>Spiderman <\/i>movies and previously co-created the <i>Star Wars <\/i> television series <i>Skeleton Crew<\/i>. <\/p>\n<p>While reputable trades have now confirmed this, post-2019 <i>Star Wars<\/i> movies often stall in development after reliable reports (like <a href=\"https:\/\/ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com\/128006532.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this one<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com\/117864131.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this one<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com\/125688133.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">all of these three<\/a>). It remains to be seen if this trilogy will come to fruition.
