Alexander Ludwig<\/a> knew The Hunger Games film franchise would become a huge success.<\/p>\n

Alexander Ludwig starred in the 2012 movie<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old actor starred alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson<\/a>, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, and Donald Sutherland in The Hunger Games, the 2012 dystopian film, and Alexander always thought that the franchise would become a money-spinning success.<\/p>\n

The actor – who played the part of Cato in the film – told Variety: “I remember Jen and I riding together in this van, and her being so lovely and me being like, \u2018God, she\u2019s only a couple years older than me and she\u2019s already been nominated for an Oscar [for Winter\u2019s Bone]. Like what the hell? Like this is crazy.<\/p>\n

“I remember seeing the Cornucopia for the first time and just being in total awe of my life and how lucky I was.”<\/p>\n

Alexander thought The Hunger Games “was going to be massive” before the cameras started rolling.<\/p>\n

\nThe actor – who stars in season four of The White Lotus, the hit HBO series – said: “That was one of those rare films, not dissimilar from White Lotus, where you knew it was going to be massive before you had even shot a frame. You were famous for just being cast.”<\/p>\n

\nMeanwhile, Alexander has admitted to loving the continuation of The Hunger Games franchise.<\/p>\n

\nThe actor is no longer involved with the movies but he remains a fan of the franchise from afar.<\/p>\n

\nHe told The Hollywood Reporter: “I\u2019m so happy for everybody, and I\u2019ve learned a lot since I was that young boy in The Hunger Games. <\/p>\n

\n“I\u2019m forever grateful for that movie for so many different reasons. I\u2019m forever grateful to [director] Gary Ross for humanising Cato at the end of that film. <\/p>\n

\n“And I ran into Rachel Zegler [who starred in 2023\u2019s The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes] when we were in Austin, and it\u2019s hysterical \u2014 we never met before, and we gave each other a big hug. <\/p>\n

\n“I\u2019m stoked for these people and for the franchise to continue to live on, because I think it\u2019s an amazing one. If they came up and ever needed anything, I would have so much I want to share with them too.”<\/p>\n
