\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n The new movie Primetime<\/em><\/strong> explores Chris Hansen<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s life during the To Catch a Predator<\/em> years, including his marriage with wife Mary Joan Hansen<\/strong> and how it was allegedly rocky at that time. <\/p>\n In the movie, Chris<\/strong> is seen spending extensive time away from his family and going through a rough patch in his marriage. At the same time, he gets caught having an alleged affair and Mary<\/strong> learns about it in the final scene of the film. <\/p>\n So, are they still married in real life? <\/p>\n Chris<\/strong> and Mary Joan<\/strong> got married in 1989 and welcomed two kids during their marriage. Son Chase <\/strong>was born in 1992 and son Connor <\/strong>was born in 1994. <\/p>\n Mary Joan<\/strong> filed for divorce in June 2018. People<\/a><\/em> reported months later that Chris <\/strong>was evicted from his New York City home and he was also arrested and charged with issuing bad checks. <\/p>\n In her divorce papers, Mary Joan<\/strong> said that \u201cthe marriage has broken down irretrievably.\u201d<\/p>\n The National Enquirer<\/em> really did accuse Chris <\/strong>of having an affair with TV reporter Kristyn Caddell<\/strong>, but the timeline appears to be different than in the movie. <\/p>\n Primetime <\/em>depicts the alleged affair as happening during production on To Catch a Predator<\/em>, with Mary Joan<\/strong> learning of the affair on the night of his final sting. The final sting happened in 2008 while the National Enquirer<\/em> story reported on an affair that allegedly happened in 2011. <\/p>\n \u201cChris told me a divorce was inevitable and the wedding ring on his finger was all but for the show,\u201d Kristyn <\/strong>told the Enquirer<\/a>. \u201cOver the next several months, our friendship evolved into a whirlwind romance. As far as I was concerned, none of it was being done secretly or concealed from the public.\u201d<\/p>\n Sources close to Chris <\/strong>denied the affair at the time. <\/p>\n Years later, Chris <\/strong>told Mel Magazine<\/a><\/em>, \u201cTo equate having dinner with a friend to somebody committing a felony is neither fair nor a conversation worth having. In reality, it was a whole lot of nothing.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Chris<\/strong> married Gabrielle Gagnon<\/strong> in November 2021.
