{"id":265285,"date":"2026-09-26T13:00:18","date_gmt":"2026-09-26T13:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2026\/09\/26\/avelo-expands-to-10-routes-at-dallass-new-mckinney-airport-the-points-guy\/"},"modified":"2026-09-26T13:00:18","modified_gmt":"2026-09-26T13:00:18","slug":"avelo-expands-to-10-routes-at-dallass-new-mckinney-airport-the-points-guy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2026\/09\/26\/avelo-expands-to-10-routes-at-dallass-new-mckinney-airport-the-points-guy\/","title":{"rendered":"Avelo expands to 10 routes at Dallas&#8217;s new McKinney Airport &#8211; The Points Guy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Mobiledoc\">\n<p>Avelo Airlines has big plans for the Dallas area&#8217;s newest airport, McKinney National Airport (DTX).<\/p>\n<p>While the <span><a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/news\/new-dallas-airport-mckinne-national-avelo-airlines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first flights at DTX<\/a><\/span> do not take off until November, the Houston-based discounter is already adding four more routes \u2014 including one new destination \u2014 to its roster there.<\/p>\n<p>Avelo&#8217;s four new routes are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DTX to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL): four-times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Dec. 16.<\/li>\n<li>DTX to Denver International Airport (DEN): four-times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays starting Dec. 16<\/li>\n<li>DTX to Nashville International Airport (BNA): twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays starting Dec. 17<\/li>\n<li>DTX to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY): twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays starting Dec. 17<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Denver is a new destination for Avelo.<\/p>\n<p>DTX is the Dallas area&#8217;s third commercial airport after the giant Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL). The airport, which has never offered regularly scheduled passenger service, is in the far northeast corner of the massive and rapidly growing metropolitan area.
