Martin Scorsese ‘nervous’ about daughter’s acting career<\/p>\n
The legendary filmmaker, 83, is protective of his daughter Francesca, 26 \u2013 who will appear in series two of Prime Video spy drama series Mr. Mrs. Smith \u2013 admitted he was worried about her entering the acting industry.<\/p>\n
She told PEOPLE: \u201cI felt a little rebellious – I\u2019m not going to lie.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut yeah, he\u2019s been my rock and my support system. And whatever makes me happy, that\u2019s what he wants for me.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Francesca \u2013 who has also starred in the HBO miniseries We Are Who We Are, along with movies including Roommates and Christmas Eve in Miller\u2019s Point \u2013 still turns to her father for advice before taking on a new role.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cSometimes I\u2019ll just come to him and I\u2019ll be like, \u2018Hey, by the way, I\u2019m doing this. I hope it\u2019s okay,\u2019. He\u2019s like my best friend. He knows everything about me, every little thing I\u2019m doing. He\u2019ll call me every day being like, \u2018What are you doing? Are you doing your work?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018Yes.\u2019 <\/p>\n
\n \u201cHe\u2019s the best and he knows all the ins and outs of my life, whether I like it or not. But no, I\u2019m just kidding. I love it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnd she cannot wait until Mr. and Mrs. Smith airs.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI\u2019m freaking out. It\u2019s great. I can\u2019t say literally anything about it, but I\u2019m having so much fun, and I\u2019m so blessed and meeting so many incredible people.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Francesca previously admitted that she used to think the term \u201cnepo baby\u201d was a compliment.<\/p>\n
\nShe told the Zach Sang Show: \u201c[There is a] big obsession with nepotism. It just became like a word that everyone started throwing around. And the funniest thing is I used to think it was a good thing.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThen, the amount of hatred towards that was just so shocking to me.<\/p>\n
\n\u201c[Kids] just look up to their parents naturally. If my dad was a doctor, I\u2019d probably be a doctor, you know what I mean?\u201d<\/p>\n
