Kill Bill<\/i> songstress and New Jersey native SZA<\/b> was just inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame<\/b>, and she took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the induction \u2014 but she also took time to gush over having met actor Danny DeVito<\/b>.<\/p>\n
SZA’s family was present, and her mother, Audrey Rowe, spoke: “From an early age SZA, or Solana as we named her, succeeded at whatever she really tried. She was often the youngest, the smallest, and often the only person of color in many of her experiences. I also get asked, ‘What does it feel like being her parent.’ Other than feeling very blessed, it feels normal, because Solana has remained the same \u2014 highly sensitive, caring and generous.”<\/b><\/p>\n
DeVito himself hosted the induction ceremony and paid a moving tribute to his childhood friend, late Asbury Park singer Nicky Addeo<\/b>, stating, “He was a sweet, sweet man and for me the soul of the Jersey sound”.<\/p>\n
