\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Tom Holland<\/strong><\/a> has found his female leads for the upcoming Fred Astaire biopic. <\/p>\n The 30-year-old Spider-Man <\/em>actor will be playing the iconic dancer and movie star in a new biopic directed by Paddington<\/em> filmmaker Paul King<\/strong>. <\/p>\n Tom<\/strong> is producing the movie alongside Amy Pascal<\/strong>, the producer of his Spider-Man<\/em> movies. <\/p>\n Margaret Qualley<\/strong><\/a> will be playing Fred\u2019s older sister Adele Astaire while Sabrina Carpenter<\/strong><\/a> will take on the role of Fred\u2019s frequent co-star Ginger Rogers. <\/p>\n King<\/strong> shared in a statement to THR<\/a><\/em>, \u201cI am thrilled and honored to have been entrusted with telling the story of Fred Astaire and his original dance partner \u2014 his big sister Adele \u2014 to the big screen. Fred left a timeless legacy of dance on film \u2014 most famously in his collaborations with Ginger Rogers \u2014 while Adele\u2019s work has been lost to history; indeed, no footage of her dancing survives. The cinematic challenge of bringing to life these icons of the twentieth century is one that I could not imagine without Tom Holland, Margaret Qualley and Sabrina Carpenter by my side.\u201d<\/p>\n Tom <\/strong>and Margaret<\/strong> are both trained dancers from when they were children while Sabrina <\/strong>has extensive dance experience from her work on Broadway and as a pop star. <\/p>\n While Sabrina <\/strong>got her start in Hollywood as an actress on Disney Channel, she has not acted since the 2022 movie Tall Girl 2<\/em>. Her pop music career took a major turn that year and she has focused on music for the last four years.
