Chadwick Boseman<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s widow is hitting back after the late actor\u2019s brothers filed a motion to remove her as administrator of his estate.<\/p>\n

In new court documents obtained by Us<\/em> on Thursday, September 24, Taylor Simone Ledward<\/strong>, 35, slammed the petition, which was filed by Chadwick\u2019s brothers Derrick<\/strong> and Kevin,<\/strong> as a \u201cpublic-relations stunt to smear [her] in the tabloid press.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ledward denied allegations that she didn\u2019t comply with orders to distribute the remaining assets from Chadwick\u2019s estate. Ledward insisted via the court documents, which were filed on Thursday in a Los Angeles court, that not only did she follow the court order to distrube the estate, she had been more generous than required when it came to Boseman\u2019s family members.<\/p>\n

\u201cSimone has not only complied with the Order, but as a product solely of her own extraordinary generosity, she has gone well beyond what was required of her,\u201d Ledward\u2019s lawyer Adam Streisand<\/strong> wrote in the court docs.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tChadwick Boseman\u2019s brothers have filed a motion to remove the actor\u2019s widow, Simone Ledward Boseman, as the administrator of his estate. Chadwick\u2019s brothers, Kevin and Derrick Boseman, petitioned the court via documents filed earlier this month and obtained by Us, claiming Simone, 35, has failed to properly distribute the late actor\u2019s remaining assets. The siblings [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSimone\u2019s generosity has been both financial and collaborative. She has always included the Boseman family in her efforts to ensure Chadwick\u2019s memory would endure and flourish long after her husband\u2019s tragic and untimely death,\u201d the documents further read.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is how the family repays her: a Petition replete with falsehoods under oath, purposefully used as a public-relations stunt to smear Simone in the tabloid press, not to mention the collateral damage it has caused to her husband\u2019s legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kevin and Derrick had petitioned the court<\/a> via documents filed earlier this month and obtained by Us<\/em>. The siblings are now requesting \u2014 six years after Chadwick\u2019s death \u2014 that Ledward be removed from her position as estate administrator.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Ledward] continues to exercise complete control over his estate without input from Leroy<\/strong> and Carolyn<\/strong> [Boseman],\u201d Kevin and Derrick\u2019s motion reads, referring to their parents. \u201c[Kevin and Derrick] respectfully request that this court enter an order directing [Ledward] to show cause for why she should not be held in contempt for disobeying the court\u2019s order. [Kevin and Derrick] also ask that the court compel [Ledward] to distribute the remaining estate assets, provide a full accounting with receipts for her time as administrator and remove her from serving as administrator going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

The petition stipulated that Ledward is entitled to 50 percent of Chadwick\u2019s assets since the Black Panther<\/em> star died without a will, and that Chadwick\u2019s parents should receive 25 percent of the trust.<\/p>\n

\u201cNearly four years later, [Ledward] has still not distributed the estate, nor has she filed a petition for discharge with receipts,\u201d the court filing reads. \u201cInstead, [Ledward] continues to exert unilateral control over Decedent\u2019s estate, denying Decedent\u2019s family long overdue closure or participation in decision-making regarding matters affecting Leroy and Carolyn\u2019s interests in [Chadwick\u2019s] estate.\u201d<\/p>\n

News broke on Tuesday, July 21, that Tenisha Warner filed a lawsuit in DeKalb County Superior Court against his mother, Pamela Warner. Pamela is the successor trustee of the Warner Family Trust, which Malcolm-Jamal set up in 1996. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a statement shared with Us<\/em>, Kevin and Derrick revealed they filed the lawsuit on behalf and \u201cwith the authority\u201d of their parents.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor years, our parents have sought clarity regarding matters connected to the estate of our brother, Chadwick Boseman, including his intellectual property and legacy,\u201d the statement read. \u201cThis action was filed on behalf of, and with the authority of, our parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, who assigned their respective interests in the estate to Boseman Family LLC. Our family was unaware, until recently, that nearly four years after the court\u2019s [October 2022] order for final distribution, the administrator had not closed the probate estate. Our petition seeks enforcement of the court\u2019s order and the relief requested in the filing.\u201d<\/p>\n
