Jesse Eisenberg has changed his opinion<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old star has admitted to having had a “negative opinion about acting”, because he thought it was over-rewarded and “vain”.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the San Sebastian Film Festival, Jesse told reporters: “I used to have this negative opinion about acting because I was an actor and I just thought, \u2018This is just such a ridiculous job. They pay us too much. We\u2019re vain’.<\/p>\n

“We want to look pretty in the morning, we want to stay in the nicest places, and we want to not ever lift anything on movie sets, and then we want all the credit for the movie! <\/p>\n

\t\t\t<\/p>\n

“I was always like, \u2018This is a weird job, and it\u2019s not fair.\u2019 And then on my first movie, I saw Julianne Moore<\/a> rehearsing for a scene.”<\/p>\n

\nJesse has reunited with Julianne to make The Debut, his new musical comedy film.<\/p>\n

\nThe Hollywood star – who has written, co-produced and directed The Debut – recalled: “She was going through a real, deep emotional process to get ready for the scene. I remember looking at it, and I go, \u2018Oh, wait a second, that\u2019s really hard.\u2019 Like we\u2019re all out here joking, and I\u2019m having a donut, and she\u2019s in there suffering. <\/p>\n

\n“I realised, \u2018Oh, maybe acting is actually a really valuable thing. Maybe difficult. Maybe it\u2019s challenging. Maybe it takes a lot. And suddenly, in [one] moment, my entire opinion on acting changed because I saw somebody else doing it, and it wasn\u2019t just about me.”<\/p>\n

\nMeanwhile, Jesse previously acknowledged that popularity in the film industry is “transient”.<\/p>\n

\nThe actor enjoyed a career breakthrough in 2010, when he played Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network – but Jesse now recognises that fame and success can be fleeting.<\/p>\n

\nThe film star told The Independent: “I\u2019d been in some popular movies before – not as popular – and I\u2019d seen kind of what happens: you\u2019re celebrated for a brief period of time, and you\u2019re on top of some vague lists and agencies for a few months, and then you go back to whatever your status is in the movie industry.”<\/p>\n
